Vivir Bonito Hostal

It is difficult for me to put our unique experience into words here. Right from the start we were welcomed with open arms and made feel like at home. Berni, Rodo and Tom not only know how to welcome their guests, but also the best bars, restaurants and attractions in the area. Best of all, the hostel is so centrally located that you can reach all attractions within a few minutes walking. Thanks to a wonderful color palette and a love to details, it reminds more of a boutique hotel in terms of equipment, but with the advantages of communal hostel life. The absolute highlight is the 360 ° rooftop terrace. From sunrise to sunset you can enjoy life and the view above beautiful Morelia. Vivir bonito is not just the name of the hostel, it is the philosophy of life over here! Thank you for hosting us and I definitely will be back :)

We were welcomed in this gorgeous hostel with a lot of love which made us feel immediately at home. The guys are super friendly, funny, helpful and share their knowledge about Michoacán and Mexican culture and tradition. As this already sounds perfect, wait till you see this colorful treasure house! In our room we were welcomed with a water bottle, a traditional candy from Michoacán and even a towel. Apart from that, the room was so beautiful and artistic, even with a little balcony, a lot of space and the beds are so comfy - we slept like babies! The bathrooms are also amazing, the shower is one of these rain showers and the hot water walks perfectly. There’s a super lovely living room with swings and a couch and plants and you feel so at home. The kitchen is great as well, there’s a huge fridge, drinking water and everything you need for cooking :) Last but not least, they have a rooftop terrace with a 360 degree view over the city and it’s surrounding mountains. It looks stunning during the day and during the night but the view for the sunset is definitely the highlight! All in all the best hostel you can imagine, so make sure you stay here when visiting Morelia

5/5. We had the most amazing stay at this hostel! When we arrived, the three owners, Tom, Bernie and Rodo gave us an awesome welcome. They were so friendly! We originally were gonna try and fit the three of us in a double bed but the guys drove us to their house and got us an extra mattress. The hostel is an amazing space, with lots of nice bathrooms with views of the whole city, a comfy area for everyone to hangout, and a rooftop terrace, perfect for the sunset. For day of the dead they took us to some amazing little towns, food spots, and made sure we had an unforgettable experience. Morelia is a very beautiful city, there's lots to do and see. All in all an amazing stay at this hostel with even more amazing people!!!

We were a group of three graciously accepted very last minute for Dia De Los Muertos , they were so welcoming snd kind throughout our whole stay. The hostal is central downtown amazing cafes and restaurants around . There is a fun/funky rooftop with amazing sunset views and a great place to have drinks and get to know backpackers . Not only are the best the comfiest we’ve come across in Mexico , the showers and even showe views were insanely gorgeous. It’s been fully re renovated so everything is super clean and sparkling new. The kitchen is also a great asset if you wish to cook. Has amazing appliances and utensils. Thanks for having us Morelia!! We loved our stay - Team Canada

Best hostel in Morelia! The bathrooms are so lux it’s like being at a 5 star hotel. Beautiful clean colourful facilities with two indoor common spaces, kitchen and rooftop. Really good location in center of town. Beds were super comfy and great views from the rooms. The guys that own this place are so friendly and generous, they are the reason our stay in Morelia was my favourite part of the trip.

This hostel is absolutely beautiful! Very well decorated and clean! Also the location is great, right in the center of the city. The owners were very friendly and nice. They gave us all the best tips to know where to go and where to eat. Amazing vibe and great people, I 100% recommend this hostel!!
