Honestly, we felt like we'd died and gone to heaven. The town itself is just the most idyllic place, but the hotel pushed it to being one of my favourite stops ever. Sadly we were only there a night, driving between LA and San Fran, but of our west coast trip, this was the place I fell in love with the most and would go back for much longer next time. We had the ocean view room, which isn't actually the hotel's best room for views, but it was perfect nonetheless. We stayed in some amazing places on our trip, including the incredibly plush Fontainebleau in Vegas and fantastic Argonaut in San Fran, but this was the place for us. The guy at the front desk (whose name annoyingly I can't remember), was brilliant, booked us into a restaurant at short notice and gave us advice on where to see the otters. The decor in the room was also lovely, nautical which obviously suits the surroundings. To make sure this sounds like a real review the only very minor negative was the walls being a bit thin. We could hear the couple next door talking in the morning but they seemed to have loud voices. It's such a quaint little fishing/yachting village I can't imagine you'd ever get anyone next door who was rowdy. Would recommend for anyone, and I'm convinced I'll be going back in the not too distant future, even with a 10 hour flight from London standing in the way.
