The room was lovely and quiet. And what a view! we sat for hours people and seawatching. Being above the french bakery was a blessing and a curse because it was fun to wake up to the wonderful smell of baking treats but we spent more money and time shopping and eating there than was good for us. The deep tub was great, room was clean and homey. Can't wait to come back. The only thing that was a drawback for us was the lack of a desk as my husband needed to spend time working, but we made do and honestly, how much work can one get done while looking out the window!

Delightful room, totally private, with its own entrance. Spectacular view of the marina, bay and Morro Rock, made for great sunrises and sunsets. Very comfortable bed and couch. and of course, the wonderful bakery right downstairs, great croissants!!!

Love, love love this place. We love the views from our room and enjoy watching the boats, kayakers, seals, sea otters, pelicans and even all the people enjoying the amazing location. Val is a wonderful hostess and the place is clean and comfortable. The sheets and pillows are soft and I could lay in bed and still see the Rock and all the beauty. The Bakery is right below and has delicious food and treats. We also enjoyed eating at Frankie & Lola's just a few steps away.

Can’t think of a better place to stay in Morro Bay. Our room (Big Sur) was large, comfortable, and well stocked, with a great view of the embarcadero, bay, and Morro Rock. Val, the innkeeper, is friendly, gracious, and accommodating. And the bakery downstairs is as wonderful as any we’ve been to anywhere.

Great hotel, great location. There are only 2 rooms both overlooking Morro Bay. The owner is sweet and attentive. The architecture is really unique, the family designed and built the place. If you are looking for five star fancy, 50 inch TV, this is not your place. If you want quaint, quiet, homey touches, reasonably priced, you can't get better. Walking to restaurants and shopping. Can't get much closer to the water. Great little Pastry/Cafe underneath. They also can do spa treatments, book ahead. Plus a hydromassage machine there too! 😍 Thank you Val.

Excellent, private and clean living quarters. View from the Big Sur Room is the best in Morro Bay. Staff of 1 who is the owner. She is very kind and professional. Left a bottle of wine in our room on arrival to say happy birthday to my fiancé. Great experience. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back.

Best spot ever in Morro Bay, the Hideaway is so beautiful & comfortable! The view is totally amazing, Morro Rock just right in front of you. Beautiful smells from the bakery right below you! And Val is just the best inn keeper!❤️ can’t wait to return!
