Hotels near Old Bazar Kujundziluk, Mostar

We booked 2 Deluxe Double rooms with the hotel. One of our rooms is annexed to the Reception and Restaurant building, and the other room is located in a building across the street from the Reception. Both rooms look like they have been recently refurbished. They were clean and spacious. The hotel does not have lifts, and this might be a problem for those with mobility issues. The location of the hotel is ideal - it's right smack in the Old Town and we could walk to all the highlights. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Public parking is only about 20m away from the hotel - you need to pay in the local currency at a self-service machine when you exit. You just need to take a ticket when you enter. So, no problem for those who have just crossed the border from Croatia and do not have local currency. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was a spread of about 20 small plates of delightful mezes served at the hotel's restaurant. Staff speak excellent English and were extremely friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others to Mostar!

This hotel is amazing. The service is superb; you couldn’t ask for more friendly and attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the local area and best places to visit. The location is right in the heart of Mostar near to the bridge and old town and the bedrooms were great quality and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also amazing with a buffet of hot food, cold continental food, fruit and local baklava style pastries. It was easy to fill up sufficiently to not need lunch! I couldn’t recommend the hotel enough though we were slightly disappointed with the evening meal we had on the first night. It was only when we later compared the meal to what we could have received elsewhere we realised that, despite being nice food, seemed over priced as we didn’t get a lot of the main course to eat. It did include starter, dessert and a coffee and liqueur so overall not bad value, but would have preferred to order al a carte and not set as we wouldn’t have bothered with half of what was included. We were offered the set menu at €25 - €28 each which was cooked under a dome in a traditional Bosnian fashion. They offered it in beef, veal, chicken or fish and, as there were four of us, the waiter suggested we have one of each and share. This sounded like a good idea except the meat portions were so small they were physically difficult to quarter. The fish was a better portion size as it was a whole fish. It came with slow cooked potatoes, peppers, aubergines etc which was delicious but I don’t think we got a portion which was four times the size had we have ordered just one. The starter was a fairly basic salad which was nice but the sharing platter was presented before we’d finished it so felt somewhat rushed. We actually hadn’t finished our pre food drinks before the starter and wine was brought out too. The dessert plates were all different traditional pastries which were just given to us (no selection involved). They were nice and we shared them as much as we could. This is in total contrast to the rest of the hotel experience, I’d just recommend staying here and eating out somewhere else.

This hotel is at a very central location, convenient to get to both the Old Town and train station. The room is very clean and modern, my biggest complaint is that the curtain is not blackout, so for someone sensitive to light like myself struggle to sleep well, this does seem to be quite common in BiH though to use non-blackout curtain. The breakfast at this hotel is decent with a handful of choices, what I enjoyed most is the swimming pool and the sauna in the basement, despite it is a small boutique hotel, so it was never crowded due to the small number of rooms here. PS: This hotel is on the Muslim side of Mostar, so alcohol is banned.

The hotel is fantastic. In the middle of the mountain, our car is very exciting. The parking lot is also half-sloping. The car is tilted and parked, just like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. There is no scenery... The breakfast here is very very nice. I will still will come……

As my wife has much of her family and friends Mostar, we are relatively frequently visitors to this amazing city. We have tried out several alternative hotels over the years but there are few reasons to go elsewhere than Villa Fortuna. This centrally located, traditionally hotel delivers on comfort and convenience for an affordable price. However, its best asset is the staff. Especially Nela goes above and beyond to ensure her guests wellbeing. We feel that she really anticipates our wishes. Her warmness and easygoing generosity seem to inspire her entire team. At our latest staying in mid-September we were given a well-appointed room at the second floor. The terrace allowed for an unobstructed view of the cityscape. The room itself was not big, but the space was adequate for two persons. The bed had a comfortable mattress and high-quality sheets. There was a small fridge that came in handy for us. As another reviewer mentioned, the lighting is bright, but who stays in the room much anyway? There is a backyard available for guests with a small bar. Here you will find a seating area which provides a cozy and cooler refuge on a warm summer night. In sum Villa Fortuna is a great choice in Mostar. The location is very good, 10 minutes from the old bridge in the city centre and 15 minutes from the coach station. This is the best homestay I have ever stayed in. The rooms are large and clean. It's just not easy to find in a small alley.

The hotel room was very pleasant and very close to the centre ... Also, staff helped us in all matters, we will take our holiday there next year as the Akbal family.

One of the best experiences I had. Starting with hotel booking per se, it was fully booked season. I managed to book by direct contact with the front disk as an old loyal customer. Emailing was prompt and to the point when I changed our arrival time. Room location was very nice with Neretva view, spacious with extra bed. The bathroom was excellent. Top clean and quality service at front desk and room service. The breakfast was very good. Hotel location was very convenient. Thank you Bristol Hotel family- it was very nice stay and hope to see you once again.
