I stayed here for 4 nights as part of a business trip. Overall, a really pleasant stay and I would certainly stay here again. The service, the room, the gym, the pool and the amenities were all great. A very good and comfortable stay. There is plenty of parking at the hotel. There is also a small ‘pantry’ be reception where you can purchase drinks and snacks. During check-in, the entire team on the front desk were welcoming and very helpful. I was given all the information I’d need during my stay. My room was great. Very spacious and comfortable. As a frequent traveller, I have experienced almost every time of hotel bed. This one was very comfortable. Lighting in the main part of the room was lacking. It could have done with a large main light in the centre of the room. The bathroom was large and functional. However, the large single pane glass panel is not large enough or could do with a door. There was water spillage every time I showered. I would also like to have seen a handheld shower head in addition to the wall mounted showerhead. The shower controller for pressure and temperature is combined and ideally these should be separated and able to be controlled independently. The coffee machine in the room was OK. Would have been nice to have a larger selection of pods. Also, the plastic top for the disposable cups were the wrong size (too small). Housekeeping is on request and I didn’t need it for my short stay so I cannot comment on the quality. However, I had ordered take away and left my food outside my room on a couple of occasions and these were cleared away. I used the gym twice during my stay. It was functional and had everything you could need in a hotel gym. There was a water fountain located inside the gym to allow you to fill up your own water bottle. There were fresh towels available there so didn’t need to bring down from the room. Breakfast at the hotel was a small buffet selection. I didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the quality of the food. There were 2 options for coffee. A lighter and darker roast. Both were nice. There are several restaurants close to the hotel and plenty of UberEat options that serve the hotel. There is also a Walmart super store close to the hotel. I look forward to my next visit.
Tru by Hilton Mt. Juliet

Not the worst place I have stayed at, but a series of things at this stay kind of bothered me. I like Tru and the other major chains similar concept, as they are comfortable no frills with laminate floors (no carpet!), nice showers and provided soaps. I travel through this area for business and usually stay at the other chain in town. Gave this Tru a shot. Because it is connected to a HGI, this hotel is pretty big and has a pool, bar and restaurant unlike other Tru's I have been at. This is also a good location, quiet with one side of the hotel overlooking a small wooded area. I was disappointed however in the condition of the room I had on the 3rd floor. The door stop that flips out for added security for the door to keep it from opening looked like someone had attempted to force it open as it was loose and the base pulled away from the frame of the door by at least 1/2 of an inch with all of the screws loose. There was a prominent hand print on the bathroom door frame that looks like it was made by a 4 year old with a hand covered in hot Cheeto cheese dust. The walls of the room are a very light blue, but the paint was marked up with black scuffs everywhere on almost every wall. The wall close to one of the beds was just straight dirty. It looks like someone had laid in the bed and put their dirty feet all over the wall (I didn't get a picture of it). Another issue was the bathroom towels were all damp like they had not finished drying in the dryer completely. The bathroom was also showing some wear, with goopy poor caulk repair around the shower, marks on the wallpaper and some mold on the shower door silicon seals. Overall, the room was a little beat up and could use a once over with a spray bottle of bleach on the walls. Tru or Hilton also need to work on the TV system they use. Half the time I stay at them not all of the ”Live TV” channels work. At this stay, I couldn't get any channels on the menu to work at all when selected, the channel would pop up, but then the screen would stay black. Having an hour to kill, I figured out you don't try to access the ”Live TV” app from the ”home” option on screen. This will pull up a list of channels and tell you what network they are and what show is playing, but if selected, the channel will not work. Use the ”Entertainment” option on screen and scroll down until you see the network icons on the bottom of the screen, then select a channel.

I was in Tennessee on business and left Memphis at about 9:30 PM to head towards Knoxville at about 1 AM I was done driving and stopped in Mount Juliet. Tried making reservations online but being that it was into the next day I couldn’t. I went into the hotel and Tim was at the reservation desk and proceeded to assist me. He spent a good 40 minutes on the phone Hilton Support and they were unable to book a room. However, Tim figured out a way to get me into a room and was so accommodating. When I stop by the front desk in the morning to check out, the manager was there and I didn’t get her name, but she kept apologizing for how long I had to wait for the room while Tim was figuring out the situation. I was more appreciative than anything. They comped my room, which I insisted they did not need to do. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is amazing.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. When we first checked in, we were given a room that hadn’t even been cleaned—bed unmade, trash everywhere, and clearly no attention to basic housekeeping. This should have been the first red flag, but unfortunately, it was only the beginning. The hotel’s breakfast area was equally appalling. It was filthy, with food crumbs and spills all over the place, and no one seemed to be maintaining the cleanliness of the area. It was clear that the staff couldn’t be bothered to keep it even remotely hygienic for guests. After we got situated in our second room, we went downstairs to the reception area and the nightmare continued. The bartender (Jessica) was unbelievably slow, completely unmotivated, and made it clear they wanted nothing to do with serving our wedding party. The worst part? They openly bad-mouthed our group to other patrons at the bar. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior for any establishment, let alone a hotel. The following morning I raised these concerns to the Assistant General Manager, Terry Craig, and things went from bad to worse. Instead of taking the feedback seriously, he gave me a condescending attitude and proceeded to defend the bartender's disgraceful behavior. Terry actually sided with the other patrons – the same ones the bartender was bad-mouthing the wedding party to – and said that *we* were the ones being ”a pain in the ass.” This was a jaw-dropping level of unprofessionalism. Rather than de-escalating the situation or even pretending to care about customer service, Terry smirked at me throughout the entire conversation and seemed more interested in dismissing my concerns than addressing them. I was simply trying to offer constructive criticism, but he was more intent on defending terrible service and showing off his arrogant, dismissive attitude. I cannot stress enough how utterly disappointed I am in both the service and management at this hotel. If you're looking for a place that values its guests and treats them with even a shred of respect, go elsewhere. This place is a disaster from top to bottom, and I will absolutely not be returning.

Room was clean and temperature was comfortable. Stayed on first floor. Hot coffee and hot tea available throughout stay. Bed was comfortable. Checked out early before breakfast was available. Traffic was heavy at rush hour in front of hotel. Hotel staff were nice and helpful at checkin and checkout.

The rooms are so small it is ridiculous! I’m a Diamond Elite member ( I essentially stay in a hotel 4 nights a week, EVER week). This is the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. For a newer hotel, it is in fairly bad shape. But the restaurant is the worst. Elena was training and she did a good job but the person training her was rude, dismissive, and uninterested in anyone but a single man at the bar. They did not have martini glasses (weird) so served my cosmo in a highball glass. Mine was slippery and I accidentally dropped it. It was extremely loud. The head bartender didn’t even look up. And when I asked for napkins to wipe up the mess she looked at me with disgust on her face. She never offered to wipe up the mess. Really sorry I am here for 2 weeks.
