After a long trip arrived at hotel and quickly signed in. We were upgraded to a fantastic room, however phone and TV not working but a great balcony view of the South. China Sea and to the left the jungle. It was lovely to sit and watch the various birds and fireflies. Malaysia Airlines had lost one of our bags and did not seem concerned however after no success we spoke with James at reception who soon sorted it out and it arrived at 9pm. One day wasted Thanks Malaysia Airlines. The next day we had a leisurely breakfast plentiful and good choices of Malay and Western. Very courteous staff. Saw our first monitor lizard and had a garden tour by. a very informative employee Roy. Decided against the nature walk as advised not much to see this time of year. Spent most the day on the empty beach ( Some jellyfish but otherwise a nice dip) and in empty swimming pool. 3 linked pools lovely and warm but needs some maintenance and jacuzzi not working. Only a couple of restaurants were open and although quality of food was good the menus were similar. On our last day we had a very good Chinese style meal in The Noble House (Only open until early evening). As with most meals we were the only ones in the restaurant. All meals were very reasonably priced. The advertised firefly. tour was cancelled due to low tide but Christina arranged a private trip to see them and also the proboscis monkey. Well worth it. . Points to Note Low occupancy with the majority of guests staying overnight only, meant we had pools and beach to ourselves and the restaurants were virtually empty. Disadvantage was that some restaurants. and snack places did not open. Lovely remote location fantastic view , beach and garden walks however nothing in walking distance of the resort so unless taking a. taxi or day trip would not see or meet other local people restaurants or shops. Note the hotel shop has very limited souvenirs and only a few crisps and drinks. We had a great relaxing time, the hotel needs some updating and maintenance but that did not affect our.enjoyment. Staff were helpful and courteous and room clean and well stocked with water tea and coffee. A/C fine. So if you want a relaxing beach and pool holiday with good food and when we were there tranquility we recommend Nexus. PS book trips at the hotel as the one we booked through our agent was about 3 times more.

Whether it's breakfast or dinner, the food delivered to the room is not only fresh and delicious but also beautifully presented, making you feel genuinely welcome. It's particularly worth mentioning that I once accidentally left some items in the room. The hotel staff promptly contacted me and arranged to return the items quickly, which was very reassuring. However, there are a few areas where the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort could improve. Firstly, the hotel's location is relatively remote, making it inconvenient to hail a taxi, especially at night or during peak hours, which can be troublesome for guests who need to go out frequently. Additionally, there are some issues with the hotel's pool facilities. The edges of the pool may be rough, and I accidentally got a cut while using the pool. I hope the hotel can address this to enhance the safety and comfort of their guests. Overall, the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort remains a highly recommended accommodation choice, particularly for travelers seeking excellent service and delicious meals. If they can resolve the transportation and pool facility issues, this would be an ideal place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Overall our 2-night stay at Hyatt Centric KK was comfy n relaxing. The lobby n top floor lounge ambience is excellent~feeling of calmness. Rooms are spacious n clean with beautiful sunset seaview. We especially like the bathroom with sitting bench~ a considerate design for guests who prefer to sit n shower. Restaurant staff were very well-mannered n helpful. The hotel is well located just opposite the Sabah Suria shopping mall, so it's very convenient if you wish to dine out or shop around…

My recent stay at The Pacific Sutera Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Despite only spending 2 days and 1 night at the hotel, the level of service I experienced was truly top-notch. From the moment we stepped into the lobby until our departure, every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. The hotel's attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the cleanliness of the facilities to the overall ambiance, which contributed to a memorable and enjoyable experience. However, what truly set this stay apart was the outstanding service provided by the hotel staff. I must make a special mention of one staff member whose name unfortunately escapes me. She mentioned that she has been a part of the hotel's team for the past 20 years, and her dedication to her work was palpable in every interaction we had with her. Her genuine friendliness, warmth, and professionalism enhanced our stay and left a lasting impression. I believe it would be wonderful if the hotel could consider acknowledging her dedication and exceptional service with a bonus or some form of recognition. Her commitment to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests like myself deserves commendation, and such gestures would not only serve as a token of appreciation but also motivate her and other staff members to continue delivering outstanding service. The location was good as all the eateries and convenience stores were within walking distance. However, I could only give as little as 1 star to its cleanliness. My wife found out that there was a blood stain on the bedsheet and we requested it to be changed to the guy at the reception. We requested it while on our way out for dinner and the receptionist notified the housekeeper to handle it before we got back. When we returned, the bedsheet was still where it was, so I called reception again and I was appalled that he told me they got to the wrong room. The room number was mentioned to the reception earlier, but I was just shocked they could make such a silly mistake as tedious as this one.

Luby host is a the best host in the world! She was so kind and always responded my question. The swimming pool is really nice. However we are not used to smell of room. And we heard noisy motorcycle sound during the all night. Location is perfect and restaurant near by are all expensive. However, Artsy coffee was so nice! Thanks for all hosting Luby!

I stayed at pan borneo from the 7th till the 11th to attend a wedding having occupied the executive suite and the adjoining room for my 3 kids. The rooms were nice and the staff friendly and helpful. However i am disappointed with the house keeping facilities. I say this because although the sheets are made up daily the rooms are never vacuumed and the toiletries replenished. I remember the biscuit crumps remaining on the carpets as it was on returning to the rooms on many occasions. As the carpets are not vacuumed and as carpets are known to collect dust in our tropical weather my daughter fell sick on our return to Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is packed by tourists from china and korea and this probably is the reason why the house keeping staff are always in a hurry. On one occasion my rooms were never cleaned right till the evening.

Everything was perfect except the last night when the air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night. Overall the experience was great.

We booked the ocean wing junior suite for a 4D3N stay. The service staff was very helpful and accommodative to our request to change room so that we can stay adjacent to one another. Overall stay was fantastic, especially the food which was delicious and satisfied our palate. There are many activities which you can book with a fee. The spa was located at the scenic golf club and it was great. We also took up a day tour which included a river cruise and firefly viewing. It was a beautiful sight and good experience (minus the mosquitoes!). The resort is not exactly near any amenities but it offers complimentary shutter bus service to Suria Sabah and Imago Shopping Mall three times daily. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a holiday with some exclusivity.

Overall clean and nice, it is just located opposite the kk market, and walking distance 5min will reach the seafood night market and also some convenience store as well. Check in and checkout is easy even got no reception at lobby, as long as you contact them one day before arrival and advice them your estimate arrival time will do.
