We had an absolutely wonderful time at Sofitel Munich. The room we were staying at 425 had a nice spacious room with many amenities. All the staff were very friendly especially Manager Mr. Umut was very accommodating and very helpful. He was always greeting us with a smile and took care of all our needs and requests. The bar was also very luxurious with many nice cocktails. We will miss Sofitel and will definitely come back next year!

It’s very good, but enough issues to knock a star off. Lots of good things - very clean, modern room. Great shower. Good lighting. Comfortable bed. Fabulous breakfast, with omelettes to order. Every sort of milk you could imagine (though except, oddly, we couldn’t find fresh - the one we thought was it was UHT!). Great gym on 14 floor. Internet lightning fast. The staff were friendly and gave you full attention when you were with them. Issues. Short staffed. On checkout, for example, only two staff, one of whom was on the phone … then the other could not get round an issue for a couple checking online, so had to be helped by the first. When a place is this swish, check in and out should be fast and slick. It wasn’t. Short staffed in the restaurant too: we’d booked a table but were ignored by the two staff who were covering the bar and the tables. A lot of tables and a long wait to be seated. Better training needed: at least greet and acknowledge the waiting guests. Restaurant food was ok. In the room: no access to the online hotel directory: reception didn’t really understand the problem and sent a spare remote up to us, then guessed maybe a software issue. No USB ports in the sockets, and none to loan (you could buy them apparently). (Tip: actually there there are two USB ports - on the back of the TV! They’re fiddly to reach but it can be done, and they charged a phone overnight).

Hotel location is good, opposite the door is the botanical garden, there are children playing. Behind a small park is the Technical University of Munich, which is very large and beautiful and fully open. A few hundred meters from the hotel is Karlsplatz, and a short walk away is Maria Square, convenient for shopping.

The waiters in the hotel are all young and courteous with a bright appearance. The corridors of the hotel are in a dark curtain style. The rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms are very well-designed. The breakfast is the best I have ever eaten. Standard, the only complaint is that it is a little far from the station, and the lights in the room will automatically turn off after a period of time due to power saving, which is very annoying

The atmosphere is great, the staff very friendly, you feel welcome immediately! The rooms are beautiful and both the breakfast buffet and the evening card are extremely delicious. I will surely come back!

The room is older, the toilet feels cracked, and the towels are rough! The house keeping is good, a lot of free water is provided, and the front desk service is average! Hahaha The breakfast waiters are still great! Overall, it is not cost-effective for this price! That is to say, because I have to catch a train, this hotel is conveniently located! Just out of the train station

Excellent service from concierge and reception despite Corona measures! Got an upgrade to a larger room. Unfortunately the hotel bar is still closed, but overall I was very happy with my stay.

We missed our connection home and had to spend an unplanned night in Munich. This hotel was a wonderful surprise-a very kind and welcoming staff, updated, spacious rooms with modern technological amenities, pillows that were HUGE and comfortable, and a large comfortable bed. We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner (Matsuhisa) and breakfast. The food was good and the staff was lovely. The hotel is centrally located, just a couple of blocks from high end shopping and from a beautiful old town center. Given we were ”stuck” overnight in Munich, this was an amazing way to spend our 24 hours in Munich.

The most satisfying European hotel I've ever stayed in. It's rare to be able to maintain high-quality service standards and high cost-effectiveness during the European Cup in Germany 🇩🇪. The swimming pool is great, the beer bar is very good, and it's very convenient to go to the Allianz Arena 🏟️ to watch the European Cup. Overall, I'm very satisfied 👍
