Family-owned since 1630, Landhotel Groggerhof is a cosy country inn in Obdach in Upper Styria, combining a historical ambience and Biedermeier furnishings with modern comfort. Seit 2013 bin ich immer wenn ich auf die AIRPOWER fahre bei der Familie Ederer im Landhotel Groggerhof. Es liegt ausserhalb von Zeltweg und in einem Seitental wo wenig Anfahrverkehr herrscht. Das ist perfekt für mich. Der Groggerhof hat eigene Parkplätze im Hof oder gleich gegenüber vom Hotel und hinter der Bank sind auch noch welche. Kostenfrei! Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und man schläft hervorragend am besten bei offenem oder gekipptem Fenster mit wunderbarer sauberer Landluft. Der Gastraum ist gross genug für alle Gäste, sodass man bequem Platz hat. Das Administrative geht sehr einfach von Statten und die Frau Mama kümmert sich auch weiterhin noch um die Gäste, obgleich der Sohn Robert Ederer inzwischen längst übernommen hat. Auch für Mountainbike Ausflüge und für Wanderer in der näheren Umgebung sehr zu empfehlen.

People very nice, the hotel is clean and easy to find, the restaurant is good and I reccomend it, the city is quite but in the sametime not far from main roads. It's closed to Zeltweg and Spielberg for motorsports passionate. Also closed to the hotel you can find a very cheapper gasoline distributor.

Der Groggerhof ist nahezu ein Kulturdenkmal! Großartig, und nicht mehr selbstverständlich wie, und dass(!) die nächste Generation übernommen hat, und damit dem Ortskern ein alt eingesessenes und bestens geführtes Wirtshaus mit Hotel erhalten geblieben ist. Original, authentisch aber wo notwendig mit Augenmaß auf Standard gebracht ohne zu stark in die alte Bausubstanz einzugreifen. Sauber, bestes Essen, persönliche Betreuung von 2 Generationen der Eigentümerfamilie, und damit eine Empfehlung für jede Übernachtung in Obdach und Umgebung.

Sehr gastfreundlich, altes uriges Haus, alles sehr sauber, tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Warum tripadvisor zwingt, mindestens 200 Zeichen einzugeben, ist mir schleierhaft. Ebenso, warum man unbedingt einen Titel vergeben muss. Da vergeht einem die Freude, Bewertungen abzugeben.

I have been "at home" at the Hotel Groggerhof for a long time when I go to the AIRPOWER flight show. Why? I like the peace and quiet, the excellent food and it is easy and uncomplicated to find a place at the table with colleagues or other guests. Excellent hotel with a good restaurant frequented by locals. Family run with very friendly staff. Convenient parking at the back, spacious room. Located in a historic building in the center of a quiet village that is easy to reach. It does not have a lift but it is not needed since at most the rooms are on the first floor.

Anyone who goes to Obdach or to an event nearby (Spielberg) should definitely come to the Landhotel Grogger. The room is soooo cute... We had booked a large double room and were very surprised by the very nice, large room. There were two large king-size beds with great mattresses. The bathroom had just been renovated and everything was very clean. The parking lot is behind the inn, surrounded by a very beautiful garden, where you can make yourself very comfortable when the weather is nice. The hostess, Mrs. Ederer, was always extremely helpful and gave us very good advice on hikes, as the weather was quite changeable. There are many opportunities for hiking in the area. We always ate in the inn in the evenings, the food was excellent and there was nothing missing at breakfast either. We can only recommend the country hotel and will definitely come back.
