Just out of a story book,Rokeby was an amazing retreat. We were welcome.ed with a warm cup of hot chocolate. Each room is different and every room has its own charm. Select as per individual taste. With plethora of books to read, a cosy library cum fireplace and comfortable sofas , one could actually fall asleep here and it felt so much like home. The food at Emily's was very nice and extensive menu selection. We loved their breakfast especially a section was from the famous Landour Bakehouse. The hotel does make reservation for you at the Bakehouse to avoid waiting there. The tea gardens were like a paradise, we sat there for hours watching the sunset over a cup of tea and their evening hand made chocolates given everyday!!! They assist on arranging day trips around so we visited Sainji corn village (only winters or else dry) Monastery , and kempty falls( avoid too commercial) However , Rokeby deserves a good minimum three days just to chill and feel the vibe of the place.

Stayed for 2 days. The hotel has got great points from where one can enjoy perfect sunset. Place is built on colonial style for peace.

This was my second time stay at Rookby as I quite like the place. I recommend it to many. I accept this place as it is with few basic issues like- very small toilets in main building and the two bedroom villa- coz it’s a heritage property. Their 3 bedroom villas are new , very nice but the prices are too steep.. we stayed in the two bedroom villa- for the price they charge- the cleanliness level is below standard- no one monitors dusting of the toilets and rooms- if dust is settled in toilet racks then for few months they haven’t been cleaned as the place is so green outside. The stay concept with butler is interesting and gives you a homely wood cabin stay feel. This time round I didn’t find the breakfast options good and the food was cold, the staf didn’t understand how to prepare tea as instructed. These thing otherwise won’t matter but if a place charges you a bomb and serves below standard- not done! We have conveyed our discontent to the reception too and they took the feedback very sportingly.. I would again like to go and stay but would expect improvements in services.

Further away from Mussoorie is this gem Rokeby in small Landour which is house to famous author Ruskin bond It’s a peaceful place provided it’s not summer holidays and not weekend Anyway property is nice. Get suite is possible which is on first floor. I am told cottages are excellent too which I did not stay. Food Hospitality everything excellent Their Restaurant Emily has great food . And if you walk half a km you can have nice coffee and excellent cake at Bakehouse If you going to bake house during peak hours you might have to wait. Best is pack your food and find a nice corner with nature and eat Poonam steward , Raju steward and Rohit sharma F and B manager were of great help No problem of hot water etc. just sit with your chai and watch nature Perfect getaway for Three nights. Given an option I wil go again just to be away from maddening crowd. If you have small kids avoid as it’s difficult to keep children entertained there . For adults teenagers it’s excellent P

Quaint little boutique hotel. They serve the best food in Landour, especially their garhwali spread. But its their hospitality team that takes the cake. Mr Shahnawaz and Mr. Ashish Benson Peters truly saved the day for us. They went beyond their duties while being complete gentlemen. All in all a wonderful experience with great hospitality !

Great relaxed experience Home away from home feeling. Beautifully located old world charm mansion. Well maintained property. Great views ! The staff is very warm and helpful. The food is very good and they make everything customised to suit your palette. Must try the local cuisine. Definitely calls us back !!

We were charged for a Deluxe cottage and given outhouse in which one bedroom was a kids bunker bed and we were 2 elderly couples. Instead a floor bed was put for one of the guests. This despite telling them that there were 4 adults. Secondly, the breakfast being served was below standard and not at all appetising. Overall, the standard of rokeby seem to have fallen.

Amazing property and excellent service… Emily is one of the best restaurants and the Bake House was fabulous. The chef and every member of the hotel took great care of us and we would love to go back to Rokeby again and again. The location is fantastic and a great place to visit.
