Very clean rooms and very comfortable with wonderful sea view. The staff was very polite. The hotel is modern and the decoration was fantastic. This is the second time that i visited penelope with my wife and after the renovation the hotel was beyond our expectations. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!!!!

The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful with local recommendations and assisted with transfers, reservations and other matters. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained. Drink and food options were perfect for our needs. A la Carter breakfast and coffee menu each morning were spot on.

I will start with the good things about this hotel. No brainer it's the staff. Our room was spotlessly clean every day by Dominica who was a ray of sunshine. Clean towels every day, bottled water and toiletries were replenished too. Our thanks go to Vivienne, Stephen and Dimitri who worked every day with smiles and couldn't do enough for you around the pool/ restaurant.The girls in reception were very friendly and helpful, although we thought on check out asking if we wanted to add a tip to our bill for the reception team was a bit much!! No, we tipped by cash to those who we felt deserved it. The pool is lovely, comfortable loungers but they get taken early so get down there. Also pool towels are available. Breakfast - nice choice, something for everyone, lovely coffee. On a previous review someone said no toaster...yes there is one now. Decent supermarket literally 2 minutes away and 2 decent restaurants, Philotimo and oregano. Lovely beach at Kalo Livadi about 15 minutes away. Sandy beach with clear water. You can sit anywhere on the public beach or pay a hefty charge for loungers but highly recommend. Mykonos town was lovely, good choice for shopping and restaurants/bars. Now not so good - location. The hotel is 50 metres from a very busy and dangerous T-junction. The road to the town is very steep and winding with no pavements. Don't be fooled into thinking you will be able to safely walk it in 10-15 minutes. The road is very busy. Forget attempting to walk back. Taxis are expensive minimum 45/50 euros each way to and from airport for a short journey. Huge tip download i-move Mykonos for the local Uber type app. We waited no more than 2 minutes every time. Drivers were great and better value. Just to be clear before we booked we knew the hotel was at the top of a hill but on reflection we weren't prepared for the high cost of transport to get about.The hotel is literally under the flight path out of the airport...very noisy at times.. last flight is after midnight. Constant flights all day. We thought the hotel restaurant prices were high (same as most in town) but portion size and quality good although menu doesn't change. Shame but the waiting staff some nights had not alot to do because the restaurant is expensive and lacks atmosphere because it is also the breakfast room and people just don't eat there because no effort is made to make it look like an evening venue - no change from breakfast and/or lunch. The bar is in the breakfast room too not very appealing to spend an evening there. Introduce happy hour do something!! Get some comfortable chairs!! Also this hotel is really not suitable for older children/teenagers as there is NOTHING for them here apart from the pool. Now to our first room. From the moment we got there to the moment we left, this was an absolutely exceptional experience. We spent 4 nights at the Amazon and lovely every second. The location was great for us and was in a quieter area in the west, which was nice to get away from the bustle of the main town and the beach clubs, but if you’re looking to be closer to those you may want to explore other hotels as it was a 15 minute ride into town and back and each ride was about 20-25 Euros. Even so, it was well worth it for us because everything about the hotel was superb. Major kudos to Chronis and the rest of the staff for their tremendous hospitality and assistance with arranging transfers and with reservations and recommendations. For room, we had the Eros suite which I very highly recommend if you can get it. Other rooms have a private pool also but ours was the only one that is heated. Also the room was very private and had gorgeous views of the sea and part of the island. The daily breakfast was also exceptional with numerous options to choose from. The pool area was also beautiful and essentially felt like being at a beach club but without the chaos. Overall we cannot say enough great things about Amazon and would definitely stay here again. I only wish we had more time there but alas we had to move on to Santorini. :)

The location is very good, 5 minutes walk from the beach, that beach is also very convenient, surrounded by restaurants. The hotel's mattress is too bad, and then I don't know what noise, from the night to the second day, what machine has been buzzing. I didn't ask because the language was not available. The key is placed in the country and can communicate. I must ask what noise has been noisy. Overall, it's okay! Anyway, these two shortcomings are intolerable.

Eleni’s village suites was on the last leg of our tour of the Islands in Greece. We arrived in the afternoon and took a transfer(36 euros for 3 people) from the port. One can easily take the local bus which would cost about 1,80 to 2,30 euros, but we didn’t know that then. We were welcomed at the village suites by Ewe and were shown to our accommodation. This was the only place where we stayed that had a stove, cookware, cutlery cups, coffee maker etc. This meant that we could actually prepare meals as eating out in restaurants in Greece can become very expensive as our rand(zar) was 1/20 against the euro. The accommodation was close to the local bus stop. Just down the road was a supermarket which was very inexpensive and we bought all the necessary stuff to have a decent meal which cost less than 15 euros and that was enough for 3 people. Where we paid for a steak 18 euro at the restaurant on the corner. Even though the suites r close enough to the port it is not close enough to walk. We also were served a complimentary buffet breakfast the 2 mornings that we were there. Lovely fruit, cereals, breads, cookies, coffee and juice. U could eat as much as u wanted. We took the bus down to the port and explored Mykonos, old city and little Venice. The area was beautiful. Lots of restaurants along the walkways and the beach. U could also swim . Eleni’s Village suites were very clean and comfortable. WiFi was good especially to connect with family at home. Unfortunately there were no pool at the place as it was quite warm. The surrounding area is quite dry and looks very rural.

Myself and a friend booked this hotel pretty last minute after seeing such great reviews. It certainly did not disappoint, every member of staff in this hotel is incredible!! They couldn’t be anymore helpful. Special thanks to the reception staff who are available 24/7 via what’s app to book taxis arrange items needed to be brought to the room nothing is a problem, Extra special thanks to Costas the F&B manager. Not enough words can be said about this man he sincerely can not do enough for you, we have never experimented service like it. We were so happy and enjoyed our stay that we extended by an extra night, the hotel gave us a cheaper rate than we could find online and also upgraded our room (our original room was incredible) to a room with a jacuzzi on the balcony!! This will be the only hotel we stay at in mykonos, couldn’t recommend enough we have told all our family, friends and colleagues the same. Book book book, you will not be disappointed

This hotel is a global chain, the service is good, the airport and dock shuttles are provided free of charge, the breakfast is very good, the variety is rich, but unfortunately we catch the early flight, did not have time to taste. Disadvantages: The location of the hotel is average, although it can see the sea but not directly to the sea, about 200 meters away from the beach. In addition, you must call the car, if you can, choose other hotels in the same group, the location may be better.

We loved our stay in this hotel! The staff were amazing. Special mention to Joseph the driver, alway happy, informative, a real asset to the hotel. Claudia In concierge was also superb, thank you. Pool staff very attentive as were restaurant staff. Hotel amenities were great although I would not call our bedroom 5 star, bathroom rather tired and in need of upgrade. Pool restaurant was good as was the main dining room, although I felt it was rather overpriced for what you got. One bug bear was if you ask for a single glass of red wine in the restaurant it arrives COLD! That’s a complete no no. Please do something about that. I know it’s minor but nothing worse than cold red wine! Thank you for our relaxing break. We loved it at St John. All in all a lovely hotel and I would not hesitate to come back.
