On June 19th, my best friend and I checked-in for our fourth stay at the Royal Blue Resort. Each time we've gone we invite a few of our closest friends. Because of work I was only able to stay 4 nights. The arrangements of my stay alerted some of the staff that my best friend and I were returning. There was excitement and anticipation from both me and some of the staff members of the resort. This mutual excitement made me realize the Royal Blue Resort is no longer just a nice getaway from Germany. It's truly become my second home, and a lot the staff members have become my second family. I count it all a privilege and an honor, that I appreciate very much, of which I don't take for granted. If I could label a theme to my fourth stay, for four nights, it would simply be "personal". The property, the grounds, the pools, the spectacular ocean sunset views, and the beach area, are all still as beautiful as my very first stay in May 2023. The decor is still very pleasing to the eye, with a splash of the pride and history of Greece, as well as the vibe of Kreta, aka Crete. Once my crew and I arrived, we were greeted with refreshments, smiles, hugs, and awesome customer service from the staff. From the memorable guest services, to the front desk, bar staff, dining staff, mangers, general managers, to the very sweet housekeeping staff. The resort staff have never not made me feel welcomed. They've never not made me feel appreciated for spending my hard earning money there. Crete is full of many other beautiful resorts and hotels, and the Royal Blue Resort staff genuinely show all guest, old and new, their appreciation of your presence as soon as you walk into their lobby. The nearby Cretan cities are awesome to tour and visit. But with all of the amenities at the Royal Blue Resort available to the average guest, you'll never need to leave the resort to fully enjoy your stay. Other than the pools and the beach, there's usually live music from some of Crete's best musicians. The choices of dining and tasting different levels of Greek cuisine are in my top 5 things to do. Do not leave without having the grilled Sea Bass, grilled lamb, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, local wines, and bar cocktails. I recommend having a cocktail or two at the Thea Bar, which overlooks the beach, and has the most romantic ocean moonlit views at the resort. You may catch my favorite DJ playing the latest music, with an occasional karaoke session and a microphone waiting just for you. The average staff member, who's job requires them to communicate with guest of various nationalities, more than likely has the ability to speak more than one or two languages. Ensuring there's no language barrier to having your needs and request met during your stay. If you politely request it, and if time permits, a staff member may even give you a Greek word or Greek phrase to learn each day. My fourth stay, was full of fun, pool time, good food, sunny skies, crazy fr
