Hotels near Oriental Research Institute, Mysore

This hotel has good and bad parts so I will list both separately. Bad: We were originally given room 110. Bathroom very tired, mould on the walls, very old fashioned water heater that takes 15 minutes to heat and would only run with one person showering before having to wait another 15 minutes for the water to heat for a second person. The smoke detector was so old and dusty we doubted it would work. We suspect it was over ten years old too and needed replacing. After raising our concerns to the manager he did offer to change our room. We swapped to a similar standard room. The bathroom in the second room was also old but fortunately did not have the mould. The bath was so flimsy that when you stood in it to shower it flexed. The check in was very slow. We had to wait 20 minutes for our room even though we arrived after the designated check in time. Other people were waiting too. No apology or reason was given. We suspect it was due to them only having one person to porter the suitcases. The service in the outdoor restaurant was slow. After seating it took an age before anyone came to take a drink order or offer a menu. The two men called Mahesh and Kumar were particularly rude in the first night. They both walked past us all evening totally ignoring us. They did not make eye contact, say hello or offer any help at all. They seemed more interested in setting up a group of tables than actually serving the guests. When the group arrived they couldn’t do enough for them, still ignoring us. Good: The grounds are beautiful, the outdoor seating in each room is nice . Food and beverage is reasonably priced. Location is very central although some noise from trains, traffic and the hotel next door. Bhindya in the restaurant was the best member of staff by far. So polite and helpful to everyone. She would make a much better restaurant manager than Kumar. The only time he showed any interest was when I asked him his name. He then became more attentive as I guess he knew I wasn’t impressed. Unfortunately too little too late. Conclusion: If you choose to come ask for a refurbished room. Staff restaurant needs better manager. Outdoor gardens and setting excellent.

The hotel is new (not a 5-star as pone Booking) is very well located about 10m walking from the Grand Palace. The reception staff is very bitter and we couldn't pay with credit card.. the room was new but had no.. gardens.. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable.

Worth the money, Great location, Perfect for family stay to visit Mysore zoo and Palace. Food was great and room was super clean. Plenty of parking space. Staff were courteous.

Hotel location is good, the intersection is Pizza Hut. I booked a city view room, but it seems that there are not many cities. The sanitation is not bad, the water is provided, and a refrigerator that is not so frozen is also provided. I tried a Kung Pao Chicken at the hotel, as shown below, with a tax of 310 rupees. Hahaha taste really dare not compliment, so I suggest you order Chinese restaurants or choose special Chinese food. Other services are good and newspapers are also available.

The hotel is located in the city, not too far from transit hubs like the Mysore Railway Station or attractions like the Mysore Palace. A short ride of about 10 to 15 minutes to be precise. The hotel is equipped with modern amenities while their staff are well trained and were accomodating of all our needs. The breakfast spread was particularly great while being satisfying and wholesome. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in their outdoor dining area. A special shout out to their front of office staff Mr. Jagatpati and their restaurant staff members Ms. Durga and Mr. Sanjeev for their tireless efforts to make us feel comfortable and attended to. We had a pleasant stay overall and look forward to staying here again sometime soon.

Many friends around Mysore must live in Mysore, and it is also the first choice. I also chose this one for self-driving tours. The epidemic did not affect the enjoyment of the Indian people. The service, food, and cost-effectiveness are all very good. A little episode, first I saw dust and plastic bottles under the bed at night. After the complaint, it was handled well. The next cleaning work was paid more attention. After living for three days, I originally planned to change to another house. I went there. The room was small. Then the lobby is more like a fast hotel, and finally I returned to raddisson. The overall experience is still very good. The restaurant is also delicious. Singapore shrimp recommended. If you don’t eat out, the hotel can solve it. There is also tomato beef pasta that children love , During the stay, there are so many people😭

It's a great choice of budget hotel in the outskirts of Mysore. It's a nice hotel with a big parking lot. The room was nice and clean. Decent bed anda a couch. The breakfast at the Swad restaurant had a fixed menu but the taste was really good. Overall a good stay for a great price.

Truly a deserving mention to the team out here who make our stay most comfortable everytime. We enjoy the stay, the tranquility, the food and specially the people out here. The hotel is well kept and the views from the rooms are amazing! Plz do prefer the balcony rooms to enjoy the fresh breeze. We shall definitely visit again. Thank you team!
