Very close to Nachi fish market where you can eat super fresh tuna. You can even rent bicycle from hotel to ride there. The gentleman (elderly) which help us check in is superb, a very kind and respectful elderly

Sunrise Katsuura is a vintage coastal hotel at Nachikatsuura. It was nice to have a clean tatami floor with comfy futon, and one of the best views of the Pacific Ocean from our room. They have yukata for you to wear and you can wear it within the hotel, as well as outside. There is an onsen with a small outdoor area which was a bonus. Location wise, it is a good base for any of the sites (Nachi Grand Shrine and Waterfall), restaurants, and grocery options. You can also walk along the coastline and there is a beach, though it looks like nobody uses it. Your room has a toilet, but no shower. You must shower at the onsen. Also, they do not provide you with bottled drinking water. Their onsen also does not provide drinking water, so prepare yourself for that. There are not a lot of sockets to plug into for your devices. If you want the breakfast and/or dinner, you must book it in advance with your reservation. You cannot pay to get breakfast or dinner afterwards.

Except that the hotel is a bit far from the JR station, everything else is very good. The sea view is good. You can hear the sound of the waves when you open the window. As for the facilities, there is no bathroom in the room, so you have to go to the large bathhouse to take a bath! Bubbles are spraying out of the bathhouse! It's like a massage pool! And there is an outdoor pool too! But I found that the glass can see the beach! I wonder if you can see what’s going on in the bathtub on the beach 😂

The hotel is relatively remote, and there are few restaurants around. I found a restaurant and had a full meal. The sashimi was very fresh. In the morning, I asked the hotel to borrow a bicycle to see the tuna market, which was spectacular.

The breakfast was very good. You could tell the cafeteria staff had put a lot of thought into preparing the food. The timing, service and taste were all excellent.

The only hotel I want to complain about during this trip The location is good. It is on the north side of Kii Katsuura town. Because the town is small, it is not far away. It is a 10-minute walk from the JR station and the port, and an 8-9 minute walk from the sea torii gate. The room is made of tatami mats. Of course, I booked a Japanese-style room myself. During this trip, I realized that tatami mats must not be used in future decorations. I have to squat and stand tall to do everything, which is very tiring. I didn't know before that the room didn't have a bath, but I really like to go home and take a bath one day, so it's not a drawback. There is a road outside the window of the room. Although it may be because I only booked it without sea view, I am still unhappy. I feel like I am living in a box. I have never seen reviews about no sea view. Therefore, you need to pay attention to lightning protection. Maybe the Japanese-style room has a street view. The structure of the house I analyzed has a total of two floors of guest rooms, each with a street view. You cannot be an unlucky one. What I complained about was the service. I booked two days in total. The first day arrived at 12 noon. I thought I would leave my luggage at the front desk and go to Nachisan first and then check in when I came back. I saw a sign at the door of the store saying "Closed". I was frightened. Why didn't the store open? What's going on? It was a very hot day and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to go out in time in the afternoon. I called the hotel phone number listed on Ctrip, but it was connected to the fax number, but I couldn't get in touch. Anxious, I dragged my luggage to the nearby Yuyuan Hotel. The aunt at the front desk couldn't speak English, so I couldn't talk to you like a duck. I asked Ctrip to contact me, and another young man came to talk to me. I think it was open that day, so we would meet at three o'clock. Someone is coming. I could only drag my luggage back to the station and send my luggage to play. The door opened when I went back at night, but it was really bothering me during the day. I felt very angry thinking about it that night and wrote a note to express my dissatisfaction, firstly because of the check-in and secondly because the room was not good. I went out the next day and gave it to me. When I came back in the evening, they said they were sorry for the continuation and there was no room with a view of the sea. I think they think that if they follow the hotel's working procedures and there is no fault, there is no need to improve service and optimize customer experience. The museum was closed for two days. On the third day when the store opened, no one prepared in advance. Manpower could not be reserved to meet the needs of customers to arrive at the store early to send goods. It was also a novel experience for the first time in recent years. Finally, a reminder, the activities here should be completed before the sun goes down as much as possible. It is already dark here at six o'clock in the evening.

The hotel feels older, but the overall feeling is pretty good. I stayed in a Western-style double bed room. There was only a toilet in the room, but no bathroom. To take a bath, you had to go to the hot spring bathroom downstairs. The soundproofing of the room is good. I feel that the soundproofing of hotels in Japan is generally better than that in China. I didn't hear the sound from next door. I feel that Japanese hotels are quite clean and there are no surprises. The toilet water is relatively small, which others have also mentioned.

The location is not very good, there are no places to eat nearby, and it is 1 kilometer away from the JR station, which is a bit far for a large suitcase. But the sunrise in the morning was very nice and beautiful.

The toilet was hard to drain. I asked the waiter to check it, but it still didn't work. I had to stay for one night. Anyway, the price didn't include breakfast, so the cost performance was too low. It takes 10 minutes to walk from the fish market and JR Katsuura Station. It's quite tiring if you have a lot of luggage.

The building is a little old, but it was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was also very delicious. It was very convenient for sightseeing at Nachi Falls.

The hot springs are really good because there are very few people and almost all of them are reserved. It’s so cool. However, Ctrip paid a deposit and you need to pay again when you go to the store.

Kii Katsuura is a good place to stay alone. Although the room facilities are relatively old, the overall environment is clean and tidy. The uncles and aunts at the front desk are very enthusiastic. The door lock is a traditional key, which can be left at the front desk when you go out temporarily. I arrived very late that night, and there was no bathroom in the room. I was the only one who went to the hot spring bath, which was super comfortable. It's not far from Katsuura Beach. You can enjoy the sea view from your room or the terrace outside the first floor in the morning. It only costs 300+ per night. I personally think the price/performance ratio is really unbeatable.
