Après avoir aimé et arpenté de nombreuses contrées en Asie comme dans plus de 100 pays de ce vaste monde en soixante ans, j’ai vécu en cet endroit la cinquième étape de mon second voyage au Japon trop longtemps reporté cause Covid et bien trop marquant pour ne pas avoir envie d’y retourner… Professionnel du voyage, auteur de guides touristiques basé au Maroc, j’ai découvert ce superbe «Ryokan», ses bains d’eau sulfureuse et chaude à souhait, ses prestations et service, comme son exceptionnel rapport qualité/prix dans un pays dont la réputation est d’être excessivement cher ne font qu’agrémenter ce séjour. Exceptionnel n’est donc pas un vain mot pour décrire cet établissement où l’on va de surprises en surprises en découvrant sa «chambre », ainsi qu’une cuisine délicieuse et finement présentée… Un régal pour les yeux… Un ravissement pour les papilles… Et un nouvel art de vivre en revêtant la tenue de samouraï que l’ensemble des convives portent pour aller dîner… Paix de l’âme et tranquillité de l’esprit sont les maîtres mots de cette demeure dont le passé se conjugue avec le monde d’aujourd’hui dans un environnement d’une exceptionnelle beauté.

There is a walking path on the top of the island, and there is a foot bath at the top, where you can soak your feet while watching the Pacific Ocean. When the weather is good, you can go up in the morning to watch the sunrise. The bar serves coffee and tea in the afternoon, and sake, plum wine, and snacks from 7pm. The aisle inside serves free beer from 3pm, and Hokkaido milk ice cream is served all day, all free. Dinner and breakfast are standard Japanese meals, and dinner is a kaiseki cuisine, and the beef is very good! There are quite variety of foods, fresh sea foods, roast beef, italian foods, chinese foods and traditional Japanese foods. Additioanlly, desert selection is quite lots. Thte hotel has two public bath including outside hot tabs in sea front. Also having a facility of bedrock bath and foot bath overlooking the Katsuura bay. The room charge also amazing, worth for money.

１０ This is my first visit in a year. Even if you use a car or public institution, it takes ８ time, so it's hard to go. However, it is an inn that makes you want to come again. After all, Hotel Urashima is a hot spring! The cave hot springs while watching the rough waves of the Pacific Ocean can be said to be unique. Not only that, it is a theme park of hot springs such as Takinoyu that dyes out between the rocks and Iso no Yu where hot and lukewarm water can be alternately enjoyed. Considering the accommodation costs, you can enjoy this kind of hot spring, so it feels like it comes with a ”bonus”. I think it's a sufficient level to think so. For those who want to eat in a calm space or want to eat sophisticated dishes, we recommend a course without meals. Because it is like a hotel in the whole peninsula, it is close to the front desk and the main building near the forgotten cave, or it is close to Genbu cave, but there is a distance to the cherry blossom building far from the hotel entrance. The view from the main building is the quiet inland sea, and the view from the Nagisakan and the Sanchokan has a unique personality on the Pacific side. I want to go again １０ years later.

Plan Kumano Sanzan, rent a car from Nanki Shirahama Airport, and stay at this inn after Nachi Falls. There was only a cooking inn, and the dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The bath is small, but it is reserved at night and in the morning, probably because there are many people crossing Urashima. I was able to be there slowly. 経営が替わって2017年6月にリニューアルオープンとある。変え切れなかったようだが、少なくともかつての共済施設としての甘さは今はないようだ。 天然温泉ではないらしいが、いわば成分的には何ppm・ppbの違いだけ。日帰り入浴もあるから連泊しても入浴を楽しめようか。 海側・街側に那智大滝の遠景と周囲の景色は部屋の位置によっていろいろあるが、波打ち際というロケーションは私的には貴重である。夏休みには北側の浜が一大海水浴場となるらしい。 一人分の宿泊プランがあってビジネス利用みたいな2食付きで予約した。しかし予測は外れ、料金の割には立派な食事であった。量もちょうどよかった。 平日は少しは無理が効くらしい。 いずれ晴れた日に国道42号線や紀勢線が走る宇久井の岬に続く対岸の海岸線を楽しみに連泊して日の出・夕焼けも眺めてみたいものである。 新月ころの大潮の干満を眺めることが出来たが、街灯がなければ星空はもっと見事であっただろうか。
