Good location. But the surrounding area was quite dirty. All the rooms have refa shower head installed. Room was typical Japanese size.

The location is crowded and good for who loves living in the night.

Location is super convenient. Walking distance to major shopping areas and restaurants. Although rooms are small, staff is helpful.

While my stay at Actel Nagoya Nishiki hotel had its ups and downs, there were some notable aspects worth mentioning. Firstly, the location left much to be desired, as it was situated in what I found to be the dirtiest district in Japan. This detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the inconvenience of having to check in on the second floor was unexpected and slightly frustrating. However, despite these drawbacks, the room itself was quite pleasant. It was well-appointed and provided a comfortable retreat after a long day of exploring the city. The amenities offered were satisfactory, and I appreciated the effort put into maintaining cleanliness within the room. Ultimately, I was relieved that my stay was only for one night. While the hotel had its shortcomings, the comfort of the room helped offset some of the less desirable aspects of the experience. If convenience and location are not top priorities, and you're in need of a decent place to rest for a short stay, Actel Nagoya Nishiki hotel might suffice.

A nice amenity bar in the lobby makes the hotel stand out. The location was in walking distance of Oasis 21 which made it really convenient.

Clean, comfortable, reasonable price. Was good experience staying there. Plenty of amenities also. If not for the location, would have given ＞4 stars on all aspects.

It's very accessible, just a 3-5 minute walk from Sakae Station Exit 1. Look for the big Ferris wheel and Don Quijote! As other people have said, it's a hotel in a downtown area, so you might feel uneasy at night, but I'm from Tokyo, so I'm used to Kabukicho and Roppongi, and I've stayed in Namba and Umeda in Osaka, Tenjin in Fukuoka, and Susukino in Sapporo, so it didn't bother me that much. There are a lot of touts in Kabukicho, but I didn't get that impression. However, the closing time is relatively early except for bars, and there aren't many chain restaurants (where you can eat at a relatively reasonable price) like Gusto or Ootoya, so dinner might be a bit of a problem. (This may be because I don't walk around the area much.) However, I don't know because I didn't look at the price range, but there are restaurants (tempura and Chinese) on the first and basement floors of the hotel, so if you don't mind the price, you might want to eat there. However, when I left the hotel the next morning, there was a lot of trash, and I got the impression that it was a morning in Shinjuku at the beginning of the week. It's not the hotel's fault, but the hotel is located in such an environment. I went to leave my luggage before check-in (around 2pm), and the entrance and front lobby were also clean, and I got the impression that it was a recently built hotel. I was excited to see what the amenity bar was like, as mentioned in the reviews. There were various flavors of tea (including sencha and roasted green tea), bath salts with various scents (about 10 types), cosmetics, milky lotion and other amenities, body lotion, cotton swabs, body scrubs (body towels), hair packs (treatments), hair ties, cotton, mouthwash, etc. Everything was provided, and although there were some things I didn't use, I thought I could stay there even if I was lightly dressed! I was also happy that there was all-you-can-drink coffee, cafe latte, cocoa, and other drinks from 3pm to midnight and from 7am to 11am. The front lobby was spacious and had many tables and sofas, so even though I was staying without meals, I think I could have breakfast here with a cup of coffee! I also appreciate that I could take food back to my room or take it out (to take after check-out?)! Also, the room even provided a water bottle service, which was very helpful! This time I brought a water bottle with me, but next time I feel that if I bring one plastic bottle that I can dispose of (and drink up), I can manage with this water bottle the next day! However, although I was grateful that there was an ice machine, there was no water server like other hotels, so I was disappointed that I couldn't drink cold water or tea when I was thirsty, such as after taking a bath or waking up. I thought it would be good to at least have a soft drink bar. I wanted to take my water bottle with me (it was 36 degrees Celsius so it was empty), so I would like to drink cold water as much as possible in the hotel, but when I asked the staff, they said that they only had water bottles in the guest rooms, which was room temperature, so I was a little in trouble. . . Also, I tried to put ice in a water bottle and put water from it in it to take it out, but the ice was too big and didn't fit in the water bottle at all, so I think smaller ice would have been fine. Despite making a reservation well in advance, it was disappointing that we weren't on a high floor or a women's only floor, but the room was clean. My companion said that it felt a little cramped, but I thought it was spacious because there was plenty of space to put on luggage and there was a rack to put luggage on! I didn't bring a suitcase this time, but it looks like I could spread it out! However, I wish they would provide a makeup mirror where the chairs are (on the table). It's a pain to go all the way to the unit bath when I want to sit down to put on makeup. Also, the outlets may be enough for one person, but considering that there are two people staying, there is one USB port on the bed, two outlets on the table, and two outlets near the entrance, and I felt that it would be a shame to have to charge my smartphone on the floor... I think it would be better to change the location of the outlets. (The table is wide, so it would be great if they could set it up there.) Smile Hotel also provided USB ports on both sides of the double bed so that everyone could charge their own devices. As for the bathroom, the fact that the shower head was Refa was a big plus. The bathtub was also wide, so I was able to stretch my legs out. However, since it was a unit bath, even if I put in bath salts, they would dilute them with the shampoo and body soap, so I think it would be better if the bathroom and toilet were separated and a proper washing area was created. It would be a waste of the bath salts. Also, there were only three hangers, which was not enough for two people to hang everything, so I would like there to be more, and the poles are designed as shown in the photo, so you can't hang your hat or bag, so I think it would be better if there was a hook-type pole (luggage hanger) like you often see in toilets. Also, after the bath, we wanted to have a cold drink together, but there was only one cup and one glass in the room, so I would have liked two of each. However, the next morning, I had the opportunity to go to the front desk as soon as I woke up, and not only did the staff say "Thank you for using our service" and "Have a nice day" to the guests checking out, they also said "Good morning" and "Please enjoy your stay," which I found very polite. There were also announcements about disinfection and cleaning, so I got the impression that they were always keeping the place clean. Also, since you couldn't go to any floors other than the front desk without a room key, I felt that security was not an issue. Although I have mentioned the negative aspects, overall it was very good, and I would like to stay here again.
