The facilities are old, there are mosquitoes and the mosquito net is too small, it hurts your head or hands.

If you give a tip, the cleaning will be clean. If you don't tip, it will be OK. Overall, the price/performance ratio is good. It is close to several supermarkets. The room is relatively large, but there is a lot of noise around at night.

The hotel is in the city center with complete facilities, big and clean rooms, there are local markets and supermarkets downstairs, and shopping is convenient. Very satisfied

This is an excellent place and I cannot recommend it more. I stayed there for three years and it became my home in Nairobi. The staff is super nice and the service outstanding. The rooms are big and spacious and if you like the buzz of a big city as I do you will find the location exciting as well. You get excellent value for your money. Don't think twice - book it and I can promise you that you won't regret it!
Response from Property: Hi Lilac, Thankyou for booking with us and for your positive feedback. We look forward to hosting you again. ^BG

So… This was an interesting choice…(NOT)!!! By the picture, it seamed ok, for work and short stay…. But NO! This is actually the first hotel I booked and paid, ok… with my discount 55usd/night, total 110usd, and total waist of money!! I came, I looked and I walked. I didn’t even take my bag in. Not ok area, no lights in the hall and the rest… no comments.

The location of the Apartments/Hotel is in a very safe place on Koinange street. The rooms are very spacious with a balcony. Amazingly, I couldn't hear any noise from outside when I was in the room. Good value for my money!!

I have been staying at Chester House for now over 10 years whenever I visit Nairobi for business meetings. What I enjoyed most were their breakfast. It was rich in every way. Unfortunately the effects of Covid-19 led their in-house Bar & Restaurant (B & R) to close. Now they have outsourced Breakfast to two outside restaurants. For the down stairs' restaurant, their à la carte menu is never fulfilled: there is always something not available. A second cup of tea/coffee must be paid for separately. The other restaurant is closed on Sundays. Today, you can't have a late drink in the evening. The absence of an in-house B & R has made the place no longer as cosy as it used to be. If post-Covid 19 recovery has occurred, the in-house B & R should be revived. David Kampala, Uganda
Response from Property: Dear David, Thank you for staying with us at Chester Hotel & Suites and we are glad that you have been enjoying your stay with us over the years. Your sentiments on the in-house restaurant are duly noted and we will raise the same with the Management and hopefully get the best way forward.

It's a damn Shame that my time there was just awful .I have always said when you own such a hotel make sure your staff is also Upto per. I was literally harassed with front office faith and a security guy nyatich posing as the manager ..despite me requesting to see the manager this security guard Andrew has the audacity to shut my room ...like you should know people .it was a really really really awful experience and I just hope that no one should ever have to experience anything traumatic like that ..treating guest like roaches yet we are giving you our money is pathetic to say the least .I hope the general manager will handle his workers and send them to etiquette school .how do you work in the hospitality industry yet you don't even know how to handle guests??!I will need therapy after what I went through...lord have mercy on my poor soul.and apparently I am not the only guest who has been at the mercy of that trio .

Location in the central business district gives easy access to business locations and major attractions. Well equipped and clean place. Good for both short and long stay. Art Cafe at ground floor offers good menu of multiple choices. For a tourist easy walk to the City Market for souvenirs.

We had booked two nights at the hotel through Booking. When we arrived we paid $99 with the credit card. As soon as we went up to room 901 we found many baby cockroaches in both the bathroom and the kitchen. Upon our complaint at reception, they offered us another room, 801. This one was also full of baby cockroaches. We demand our money from the receptionist and they tell us that they cannot return it until the next day. When we returned to the hotel the next morning they told us that the refund has to be in Kenyan shillings and that the commission for paying by card is 3%, so in exchange, we lose $7. Unacceptable and disgusting.
