If there is no discount, the price is 55000 yen for two people. I used it because it was GoTo. I expected that word of mouth was good, but it is very disappointing as a conclusion. GoTo thinks it's a good chance for the inn to win repeaters after this, but repeats are never possible. First of all, there is no inn. I think that there is a pick-up at the entrance if it is an inn of this price (there is a large number of corona) The front desk also corresponds to a considerable salt and stayed in Metropolitan Nagano at the previous night. It is more polite. The corridor is quite old and there is no impression in the room. Bath Bath Only the pottery bath is the source, and the other is the circulation + hanging flow. I want you to write it on the guide paper about the explanation. By the way, I couldn't touch any rental bath at the front desk. I thought it would be good to say a word even if another fee occurred. Dinner The taste is not bad, but it doesn't seem to be a dish that is in hand. It's safe. It's a dish like a tavern. Why is there a barnacada at the end? It's a mysterious order. Sukiyaki was delicious, but I want a little more style such as appetizers. There are many great inn at the same price. I am really disappointed. And the woman who serves, the smell of fluffy perfume... I'm surprised that I can't believe it. I went because I wrote that the morning city was doing it on the elevator (this is also a word). I want you to speak about a word if you meet at the morning entrance. (it's small) Breakfast was quite a pity. Where did the safe seasoning yesterday go? Forgot salt? Where is sweet? And the roll is not delicious at all. Is it not a corona and tasted? I think so. The cancer that seems to be a ready-made product was delicious. The customer service is also very good, and I don't feel hospitality at all. If you are a guest who has paid this price and spent time from afar, would you like to stay at this inn? I want to answer my own questions. It was a disappointing inn overall. I was surprised because Nagano Prefecture had delicious rice, good spring quality, and I was never disappointed at this price inn. I don't think about taking money because it is GOTO, and if you take such a fee, you should respond to it or if you can't, you should lower the price.

What a lovely spot! 2 minutes walk from the train station, we stayed in a traditional Japanese room which was great fun. The room was huge, 2 comfortable futons, low table with floor seats, kettle in the room (bring your own tea or coffee) and a good shower. The owners were extremely helpful despite the language barrier (Google translate was successfully used). They advised us on onward train timetables, gave us a ride to the Snow Monkeys Park saving us having to wait for the bus, picked us up again, gave my husband and I a private onsen session and delivered a huge cooked Chinese breakfast to our room in the morning. When we left they gave us an ornamental chopsticks set as a gift. Can highly recommend this ryokan.

From the moment you enter Kokuya Ryokan, be prepared to leave the real world behind and fully immerse yourself in the experience. You swap your shoes for slippers at the door and don’t see them again until you leave. You will receive a warm welcome from polite and gentle-mannered staff, get taken up to your beautiful room, and once you’ve changed into your traditional yukata, it’s time to let the relaxation begin. The multi-course dinner will probably be one of the best meals you’ve had in your life, with many unusual textures and flavors to try. The futons are comfortable, and your room is kept toasty warm. There are even skincare products to keep you pampered and moisturized between soaks in the onsen. Honestly, you won’t even need to open your suitcase while you’re there.
The staff will take you through all the logistics when you arrive, but there are some things that might be useful to know in advance.
- The ryokan sends a shuttle to Yudanaka station at about 15:00 to collect new arrivals, so time your journey to take advantage of this benefit.
- The ryokan also offers guests the opportunity to catch a shuttle to the Snow Monkey Park immediately after breakfast the next morning.
- After you leave the ryokan, they will take your luggage down to the coffee shop opposite the station, so you don’t need to worry about those logistics.
- Trains from Yudanaka back to Nagano leave at 12:30 and 15:30.
- The ryokan itself has several private onsens that you can reserve for a 45-minute slot. Because the onsens are on the property, you can go in with your partner or travel companions regardless of gender. It’s a boutique hotel, so you don’t have to worry about not getting access to all the onsens you want.
- The ryokan is on the main road of the Shibu Onsen town. The hotel will give you a key so you can wonder down the main road, visiting any of the public onsens you wish - however, with so many gorgeous and more private onsens in the hotel itself, you probably won’t have time or the desire for this.
- Also, there is a coffee machine in the room! (I was worried about having to survive without coffee, and this turned out to be an unfounded concern).
We had an incredible and totally indulgent time at Kokuya. Experiencing a traditional ryokan is a privilege that you should try at least once if you can. And adding the Snow Monkeys in give the trip a double purpose, making it that much more memorable. The only thing that would have made the trip better is if we had been allowed to linger longer over every course of our dinner.

Our first visit to the area of Shibu Onsen we stayed at Yumoto Ryokan. The General Manager was amazing. She was friendly generous and attentive to all needs. This Ryokan is 400 years old and offers a traditional experience. On arrival we were greeted by the General manager wearing a kimono. We were a bit early but she allowed us to check in. Best to arrive on time however. A gentleman took our bags and we proceeded to our room. We were told through laughter that their English was not very good. They are light hearted about it and welcomed our use of Google Assistant’s translate mode. We were guided through a series of common questions as we sat under a warming table. Tea was provided to warm us from our travels. Gifts are a common thing in the culture. We were gifted a kabuki figurine. The hotel provides yukata, traditional robes to go to the onsen, natural hot bath. Our western ideals were put to the test as we donned robes with nothing beneath. Onsen is taken completely naked in gender specific bathing areas. Yumoto offers gender specific onsens as well as an onsen for reservation. The reserved onsen is outdoors and can be for mixed gender. Ryokan also provide breakfast and Dinner for a bit extra. We can be a bit picky with our palettes so opted to dine in the town. The area does have some great restaurant options. We were directed to try a traditional Japanese restaurant. Unfortunately we went with our own plan and found a Soba Noodle place, Tamagawa. The meal was fine but they are barely tolerant of foreigners. We appreciated the photographs of manners in the menu. Lesson learned, follow the advice of the Ryoken or eat in house. The next morning we endeavored to check out the snow monkeys before our train back to Tokyo. Our general manager and her assistant provided us instructions to catch the bus and let us leave our luggage. We had grabbed a snow money pass in Nagano which made the bus and park easy to access. The travel to the Snow Monkey Park was very easy. It had just snowed the night before and our footing would have been better with boots. We could have rented at the park but chose to chance it. The General manager of Yumoto Ryoken went above and beyond for us on our return from the park. We aimed to call a taxi but there were none to be found. The General manager without hesitation said she would take us. She disappeared and returned in a large passenger van. We piled in and were quickly shuttled to the station. We offered to pay and we’re firmly told no. Hugs were offered from the staff for our farewell. We highly recommend this place for it’s location and the amazing staff. The local bus also goes to the slopes. A trip to ski and see the Snow Monkeys and later soak in a hot spring tub is a wonderful vacation.
We hope you will enjoy a hot spring bath, relax, and take it easy.

A hot spring inn located across the bridge over Onsenji in Shibu Onsen. Although the building itself is old, it is well-maintained. The proprietress who greeted us (she looks like Mitsuko Kusafue!!) was very friendly, and gave us recommendations for hot springs around the area and Yudanaka Station, and then we checked into our room. The room has an indoor bath/toilet and is very spacious with a feeling of openness. The bath is quite hot and you can't take it for a long time, but once you get in it, you'll get rid of your fatigue at once. The time for the private open-air bath is specified at check-in, but you can enjoy it at a slightly warmer temperature. And the long-awaited dinner! It was prepared in a private banquet hall, and following the appetizers, sashimi, salad, etc. that had been set earlier, Shingen rolls, gratin, beef shabu, etc. were served and ordered together. It went well with the wine. If I had to say, I would have liked the wine to be dry. However, the food was as good as the reputation, and I enjoyed it with the most delicious dishes using elaborate local products. The soba at the end of the meal was handmade by the owner, and it was another big hit after a long time! This was also elaborate and the rice was cooked to the desired hardness. As previously mentioned, the food and baths are very good, and I will stay again when I come to Shibu Onsen!! Amagawa-so,located across bridge from the Onsen-ji in Shibu-Onsen, to enjoy the food and baths mentioned in prior reviews. Building is well-maintained despite its age, and the nostalgia of visiting a relative or grandparent's house in the countryside is palpable. Okami-san who greeted us (looks like Mitsuko Kusabue!) was very friendly. us some recommendations for places in the surrounding Onsen-area, and then we checked into room. The room was very spacious and open with an indoor bath and toilet. The bath is quite hot and you can't stay in it for a long time , but it will take away my fatigue at once. The private Roten-Buro can be reserved at the time of check-in, but this one is slightly warmer and can be enjoyed in a relaxed manner. And the long-awaited dinner! the appetizers/sashimi/salad, etc. that had been prepared earlier, Shingen-maki, Gratin, Gyu-shabu, etc. were served, and they went well with the wine we had ordered together. have preferred a drier wine.... However, the food was as good as the reputation of the restaurant, and we enjoyed the most delicious dishes using elaborate local products. It was both chewy and fragrant! The next day's breakfast consisted of grilled salmon, hot eggs, potato salad, tofu, etc. The rice was cooked just the way I like it, and the consistency was just right. The food and bath were as good as the previous reviews, and we will stay there again when we come to Shibu Onsen!

Stayed in a exciting room with a child aged 1 to 3 (second time). There were a lot of toys in the room and the children were happy. I think it is a facility that is friendly to families with babies with a water heater and microwave. The bath with a room is an ordinary unit bath, so it is recommended to go to the large communal bath. You need to bring towels from your room to the public bath, but if you are not enough for adults, you may want to bring them. The public bath was comfortable with many washing places. There were many menus that children would like to eat, which was helpful. There are many kinds at night. It seems that an unmanned convenience store that can be used 24 hours a day ago was opened next to the lobby. I couldn't use it this time, but I would like to use it next time.

I should have booked ”no smoking” from the official site of the inn, but I received a ”smoking” in the reservation completion email, and I called the front desk while tilting my neck, and I received a guide that there was no non smoking room. Crying crying even though the budget is over+ I switched to the room called J floor for 1,000 yen, and this was unexpectedly a ”hit” judgment. It was a good Nagano trip 々. <J Floor Features> Room is clean and spacious, air conditioning and futons are usually costing anime tea Although it is not a dripping type, it seems that it was developed with the manufacturer and the chitin. It is characterized by the presence of drinks. There are two kinds of coffee, multiple teas, one kind of tea ... and 5 ~ 6 kinds and there are many variety. I checked in at about 15:00 and felt that I should have enjoyed it. Also, the face washing form is not clearly cheap. The comb is also easy to use with both rough eyes and a little fine, and it is a room with a lot of happy measures for women. On the other hand, the J floor sells the good view, and the view is certainly good, but I think it is NG to ask for the beauty of nature (mountain and tree) because Nagano city itself is a city. < The atmosphere of the whole hotel > Because of the business hotel and the JAL series, there are many guests who seem to be business trips, and tourist guests are also more calm. Inevitably, the dining hall was also calm and quiet. < Dinner > 3 kinds of appetizers, fried fin soup, seafood, water dumplings, Shinshu premium beef suji steak, black fried soy sauce, almond tofu [Chinese full course] Both menus are delicious beyond the price It was not a feeling of ”excellent”, but it is arranged in the taste that everyone receives in the price that is sufficiently reached, and it is hard and delicious and the satisfaction is very high. Now there are some prefectures, and in the future, we will do it nationwide, so the restaurant here is absolutely the aim. If you say strong, it is not for those who want to peek into the dishes with young and giggling. < Breakfast > Japanese and Western mixed cherry blossoms with local ingredients Viking form Business hotels have a large number of items, and there is no misunderstanding in the range of eating. There are several videos that you're introducing, so please refer to them.I liked ”handmade ume-name mushroom”, ”tempura”, ”miso wae of soba fruit” and ”oyaki” privately. The dishes related to miso are using Shinshu miso and you can enjoy ”Nagano no Taste”, so I think you should try at least one kind. (I'm lost whether I can write my true sound, but it's better to eat at this hotel than eat at the outside shop) Nagano Station ~ Based on the good location between Zenko Ji Temple, I think it was a very good hotel. Next time I go sightseeing in Nagano, I will not dare to change the inn from here.

Great location, super convenient to train station. In addition, there is a nearby 7-11 which allows for quick purchase of essential supplies. The hotel provides washer and dryer for guest to clean their clothes which is good at affordable pricing. Only downside is the room is really small but that is the norm is Tokyo, will get used to it.

GGuest UserThe public bath is not very big, but it was very clean and nice. The room is still new and very clean, so I think it was good to use it. Also, even though I was late for check-in, I felt comfortable with a very good response.
There were many kinds of breakfast, and it was so big that I could not eat all kinds. In addition, we thought that we wanted to use if there was opportunity.
LLoongExcellent hotel with all the convenience you need made available seamlessly. The location is excellent with easy access to the expressway and convenient stalls and restaurants are a short drive away.
The hotel breakfast is excellent for a budget hotel standard with a good variety of food to select from. I stayed 8 days in a row and we never got bored with the breakfast.
GGuest UserThe atmosphere is different from the usual hotels and inns, but I was able to spend a calm time in a clean environment!
I would like to stay again if I have another chance. Thank you very much!
