Visited my ancestral traditional living squatters built as a consolidated united community for better living environments and survival.
There are still many families living in the tulou. Main business is agriculture and tourism.
The roads leading to the tulou are made up of irregularly shaped stones. As such, it’s not easy to pull the big luggage along (few hundred metres walk). Recommend to carry backpacks for short stays, leave the big luggage at the tourists centre.
Good experience to live together with friendly people whom I can practice my Hakka.
They also provide home-cooked meals, reasonable prices. Good food.

This is a unique experience for those wishing to stay in a traditional tulou. The rooms were clean and simple, and the residents of the tulou friendly and welcoming. The shared toilet facilities are outside the building, and there is a bucket outside each room for use at night time. You can eat inside the tulou for dinner and lunch or there are a few other options in the Tianluokeng village. A beautiful setting and a very memorable experience.

There are only six rooms in the B&B, and the rest are aborigines. There is no entertainment in the evening, and the aborigines in the whole building chat with them.
There is no air conditioning in the room and there are many mosquitoes. There are only public bathrooms. Although the price is cheap, the experience is great, better than Qingpu.

The room is quite clean, but there is no toilet or shower room in the room, but there is one downstairs. Children like to play a lot. There is a restaurant at the owner's house. The food is delicious. The owner and his family are very enthusiastic. If you are not very particular, this is a good place.

I booked this place specifically to experience the earth building. The decoration is very clean and it is very cool at night. You don't even need a fan. The disadvantage is that everyone gets up late in this building and there is no breakfast in the morning. PS: The lanterns in the earth building do not come back to light up at night, only large lighting lamps
