HIDDEN HOTEL Hotels in Nanjing

1. I drove to Nanjing from out of town and followed the navigation, but I couldn't find the hotel after circling around several times. The main issue was that the roads here were incredibly congested. I finally called the front desk, only to find out there was no parking, and I had to park the car in an underground mall lot far away. This was the absolute first thing I was dissatisfied with. It wasted a lot of my time, and my mood was ruined from the start. 2. When I was checking in, the front desk staff took my phone to add the hotel's WeChat official account, and then, without my consent, registered me for a 'life club' membership. This made me very uncomfortable. 3. For a price of nearly 500, the room surprisingly had no outward-facing window; it was an internal window. When I asked if I could upgrade to a different room type, I was told it would cost extra. In recent years, when staying at other hotels, they would usually offer a complimentary upgrade if rooms were available, which was another point of strong dissatisfaction. 4. Lastly, the hotel's decor and facilities are in line with the price, and its location is right at the entrance of Fuzimiao. The breakfast was also pretty good. Friends who are not driving might consider staying here, but for those who are driving, it's better to stay a bit further away and take the subway.

The hotel room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast at the restaurant was also extensive and really suited my taste. What stood out the most was the incredibly attentive and thoughtful service from the hotel's front desk; they even gave toys to my child, which was a very nice touch. Plus, there's a gym, so I could still work out when I got back in the evening. It was a very satisfying experience!

A delightful surprise was the hotel's intangible cultural heritage handicraft activities, where we got to personally make sachets and paint round fans, experiencing the charm of traditional craftsmanship up close. Service was attentive and thoughtful, and the staff were kind and humble. There's no need to travel far to a water town; here, you can experience the unique tranquility and poetic beauty of a Chinese courtyard. It was a truly healing journey, highly recommended for travelers looking to slow down and relax.
