Timing House is a very warm homestay hotel. The homeowners welcomed us with their beautiful smiles and also shared important and detailed information with us. Its location is great. There are two entrances connecting two streets, and the bus station is just around the corner. Our room was a cute and cool combination, we loved it. It’s very clean and comfortable. Simple cleaning daily is provided if you need; you just have to let the homeowners know. There’re also a public area where everyone can relax and use together. It includes places where you can make a cup of fresh coffee, and read and write. What’s more, they have a super mild and cute 14 year old dog whose name is “Timing”!

Lovely place and hosts. Comfortable and clean and just 1 minute walk from the 7-Eleven where the shuttle bus from Taichung alights/departs. Also a few minutes walk to the pier. Lots and lots of Totoro statues and toys! Bicycle shop at front. Ideal place to stay to explore Sun Moon Lake.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming! The room was clean and well-decorated. Furthermore, the location is excellent, situated very near the Shuishe (Sun Moon Lake) bus stop and the Shuishe Pier.

Room size: The smallest of the three rooms is the Kitty room, but even so, the Kitty room feels quite large to me. Doris's room has a small balcony with a table and chairs, so you can take a good rest when you are tired. Our room looked out over the gardens below. The Garfield room has an indoor garden with many decorative plants. Design and Furnishings: 1) Don't let the pharmacy here fool you. Open the door and you can see minsu behind the hotel building, it feels like you have come to a completely different world! The stairs here are made of steel, and the landing of the stairs is made of glass, it feels like you have come to a fashion palace generally. And the whitewashed staircase leads to the room, surrounded by cute cat statues. 2) All rooms are very tastefully decorated with wooden neutral colours. The toilet here is a sleek glass cubicle with venetian shutters for privacy of course. Walls made of green mosaic tiles and marble floors form the toilet here. The shower room is sloped and very nicely carved - not a single drop of water from the shower area spilled into the toilet even though there was no entrance between the two areas. 3) There is also a dresser with an auto-retractable mirror on the dresser. The chair that goes with the dressing table is the only seating in the room. You can actually sit on the wooden floor, you don't need to have additional chairs and benches. Washing supplies: Towels for bathing and hand washing are provided, and there is a full set of washing supplies, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, razors, shower caps, and bottled shampoo and soap. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable! Noise: Even though the hotel is right in front of the pharmacy, you can hardly hear anything. In fact, it was actually quite quiet, which was great. Management and service level: 1) Service - very good, very attentive! A) The welcome fruit served here is very fresh, and the tomato is sliced. B) We had requested that breakfast be served earlier as we had to catch a very early bus. The manager agreed despite our excessive requests, much earlier than the usual breakfast. C) When we came out for breakfast a bit later than we had requested, the owner asked if we wanted the toast reheated - very sweet indeed. 2) And the owner here also briefly described to us how to play in Sun Moon Lake. They also sell tickets for the ferry (on the lake, of course) and they're half the price! 3) They also recommended us two restaurants, just off the minsu. The food in the Sun Moon restaurant is really good, very tasty. The owner even gave us a 40% discount when we told them that we were a guest of Doris, who had previously recommended it to others.
