Beachside on Nantucket

This is a newly renovated hotel. While the restaurant wasn't up and running (from the reno) yet, the pool area was beautiful, pool heated and room was very comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and the hotel is near Jetties Beach. I would recommend and stay here again. Additionally, I left my sweater in the hotel room. Not only did staff turn it in, they actually shipped it to my home! Wonderful customer service if you ask me!!

Had a lovely stay at this newly renovated hotel. The hotel is still working out the kinks and waiting for permits to come through so there wasn't any hot food available and no bar service (breakfast was coffee and a granola bar), but once the hotel gets its act together I think the hotel will be terrific. The heated pool was wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. Would stay here again.

I can not say enough about this hotel! From the minute we stepped foot in the door until we said goodbye, the staff made us feel like we were the only guests they had. Which we not the case at all! The front day staff knew our names and asked numerous times if we needed anything. They reminded us to have Hot Apple Cider & cookies, took pictures of us in front of the holiday decorations, asked about our daily outings and best of all our room was cozy and clean!! Highly recommend everyone to stay here!

I had to go for a weekend to a wedding at Galley Beach. This was a perfect location. Plus it was only a short walk in to town. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. My room was very large and clean. The bathroom was spotless with the usual amenities. I think the towels were brand new. There is a pool which sadly I didn't have time to enjoy. I liked the fact that they did NOT require a 3 nite min stay. The breakfast was limited... bagels, cold cereals, muffins and mixed fruit, coffee tea etc. But it was fresh and very good. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I was not happy with my stay at all. The first thing I noticed was the incredibly dirty windows on the entry door to the room. Shutting the blinds solved that. There are only two very low lights in the room. There are other light switches but I couldn't find what they went to. The room needs more light. My patio was missing furniture. The walls had holes in them. After some updating the decided to leave the rails on the ceilings from what I guess was for curtains. No available outlets. When trying to find an outlet for the iron I moved the bed away from the wall. I saw an outlet with two plugs not fully inserted into the outlet...this is an incredible fire hazard. The outlet had no wall plate. The one visible outlet had a broken wall plate. Who tiled the bathroom?? Bad, bad, bad tiling job--two rows have cut tiles, like they started tiling up from the floor and at the same time down from the wall...when the two met they needed two short tiles to fit the remaining space.. Even worse repair job--mismatched tiles in the wall. Thermostat from the early 70s in bathroom. The hair dryer looks to be from roughly the same time period. I'm hoping that wasn't a bug that fell out of the plastic cups. An not looking too closely at what I saw on the wall. Fridge is dirty, damaged and in need of defrosting. Floor in entire room is sticky. This is a cute set up; it is too bad the room is in such a poor state. i would never stay here again.

I just returned from The Beachside, after spending 4 days there on a business trip. From the moment we entered the lobby, we were treated like Friends! Tansheka, Samantha, Rosemarie, Lisa - Thank you not only for a warm and welcoming greeting, but your smiles and your laughter throughout our stay! I can't leave out LeDetric, who hauled our over packed bags with a smile! You are the BEST Hospitality Staff EVER! 5 STAR service all the way! Khloe and Kim miss you already!

Really rude staff. Unwelcoming. Every request was a chore for them. Too expensive for the service offered. We could not even leave our luggage while we waited for our ferry for a couple of hours. We were told we could leave our luggage in the hotel at our own risk!!! Never coming back!

Cleaning staff, front desk, and pool staff were all fantastic especially Carissa who went out of her way to make us feel at home especially when I left something in the room. Close to town, bur far away enough from the craziness. Pool was a bonus and very clean. Walk to the beach!

There's a reason they're the cheapest place on the island... They're the furthest walk from downtown, the "free breakfast" is just stale bagels and store muffins wrapped in plastic.. not even any fresh fruit or anything. The pool area was nice but wish it was open a little longer. We booked through a 3rd party website.. BIG MISTAKE. Upon arrival, they claimed they had no information about our reservation despite us receiving multiple confirmation emails from the the vendor and the property itself. We had paid for a queen room but they didn't have any available. After they were on the phone for 45+ minutes they were able to offer us a room with 2 double beds instead. They showed no remorse and weren't apologetic at all and told us to contact the vendor to initiate the refund for the price difference. After our stay i had multiple times trying to contact the vendor to which they had to verify with the hotel that's what happened. After Stephanie in reservations kept apparently denying our claim, I finally got ahold of someone at the property itself who gave us portion back for the inconvenienced, which I was grateful for cause it was better than nothing. The location is ok but as i said its the cheapest option for a reason. I don't totally fault them for the mishap, but they also could've shown an ounce of good customer service and then trying to screw us out of a refund was completely uncalled for and I'm sure if I wasn't as persistent it wouldn't have happened.
