The steep hill leading up to My Naoshima Lodge felt quite unwelcoming at first, but to my pleasant surprise, beautiful cats came out to greet us!
Being an avid cat lover, that really was a great perk for me.
Anyway, the hotel, being relatively new, had very clean facilities and I really had nothing to complain about except for the relatively earlier checkout time (10AM! Seriously?😭) compared to other accomodations and inaccessibility to eating spots. Definitely recommend stopping by at the only 7Eleven in Naoshima on your way uphill.

Don’t bring large suitcases!! Nice place with great views but steep climb up and no lift so you need to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Breakfast average and not really worth the cost.

Tja, een dubbel gevoel bij deze beoordeling. Eigenlijk best een prima hotel. Eenvoudig, maar netjes en zoals altijd vriendelijk personeel. Eten prima. Waarom dan toch een slechte beoordeling? Als je als hotel open bent terwijl alle musea op het eiland de hele week gesloten zijn wegens onderhoud inclusief vrijwel alle andere voorzieningen (restaurants, fiets verhuur), dan verwacht je toch op zijn minst een waarschuwing tijdens het boeken van een kamer. Zeker als je weet dat 99% van alle toeristen komt voor de kunst op het eiland en dat ze daar een flink eind voor moeten reizen. Gevolg: teleurgestelde klanten. We waren niet bepaald de enigen.

숙소는 페리항에서 걸어서 15분 정도인데 언덕꼭대기라 처음 올라갈때 짐하고 좀 힘들어요. 중간중간 호텔표지가 작게 있으니 잘 찾아봐야함. 허나 숙소에서의 바다뷰가 너무 좋아 다음에도 여기 오고싶음. 주변에 식당이 전혀없어 숙소에서 아침먹는걸 추천함. 저녁은 가격에 비해 별로니 마을에서 먹고들어오거나 피자 시켜먹는거 추천. 세븐일레븐까지 걸어서 15분 걸림. 한국서 컵라면등 챙겨오면 좋을듯. 공용전자렌지 있음. 개인적으로 시간여유갖고 쉬기 좋은 곳.
