The location is great, right next to Napoli Centrale, the ferries and most points of interest are an easy walk away, the service is perfect, an older type of hotel, which is the best option in Italy in my opinion. Would stay again without a doubt.

The bed is super comfortable, the breakfast is great and it's nice having a little balcony. Trip.com says the room has a kettle but it doesn't. In the winter it would be nice to have a kettle as well as slippers to walk on the cold marble floor, especially since I can't control the heat as it's controlled by the front desk. The front desk staff are very helpful with ordering taxis with flat rates so you won't get cheated.

We missed our train from Naples to Rome, being there last train of the night we were left to scramble to find a room at 11:00 pm in a city of which we were not familiar. With many hotels booked, our options were limited. We came across Hotel Vergilius Billia and could not be more pleased! Sabrina at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful!! The room was spotless and spacious! The bathroom was beautiful! In the morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast! We highly recommend if you are in Naples a stay Hotel Vergilius Billia!

It was very close to Naples Centrare Station and close to subway stations, which was really nice. However, the atmosphere on the road from Porta Nolana Station in Naples was so bad. I didn't even dream of going out as soon as I arrived at the hotel in the evening. But the next morning, I went out on the other side and walked around because the streets on that side were clean and I could go to a delicious cafe. It was so goodđ
The person who took care of my luggage was very kind and the air conditioner in the room was great, so I am very satisfied with this price! If you're still worried, I'd recommend it to men rather than women!

Stayed a total of 4 nights over 2 visits in October with a family of 9 (3 rooms). It's a really nice hotel with a high end feel. Staff are extremely accommodating and helpful with any and all queries. Rooms are immaculately clean with excellent AC and a large smart TV. Beds are comfortable and there's a choice of pillow styles you can request from reception if you require neck support pillows or similar. Rooftop restaurant is nice, however food may be a bit âgourmetâ for young children. But you can order pizza from the room service menu to be delivered to the room. Vesuvius garden and seating is a nice place to sit with a coffee. Can't comment on the spa/pool as unfortunately children aren't able to use this facility and I had 4 young kids with me. The area may be a little off putting when you first arrive, but there's a train station within 10 mins walk to go to Naples centre or out Sorrento way.

What a wonderful experience!!! The room was just perfect. Extremely spacious room and the tub/jacuzzi was an excellent addition. Bathroom was a comfortable size. Kitchenette was also a wonderful surprise (I donât remember reading about it when I booked). Mini fridge was perfect to keep water bottle and beverages cold. Very cleaned and beautifully presented. The view from the room was just great and the location couldnât be more perfect. Walking distance from the port (great as I had planned on visiting Capri and Ischia) and many other sightseeing musts. Also many places to eat and stores around the block. The host was also extremely helpful, charming and attentive. She allowed us to keep our bags in the lobby and do check-in early as we were ready visit and sightsee many places as soon as we got there around noon. She was also of great help after we checked-out, as I accidentally left the car keys in the lobby, I was able to recover them. All in all we had a great experience and time and will definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

We hosted our relatives who came from outside Naples in this hotel for our wedding and we found a level of professionalism and attention to the guests that we had never seen before, plus on Monday 22 April we organized a fish-based dinner with 30 people in their all-fresh restaurant and super good. We stayed one night at the Grand Hotel Serapide. Excellent service and we were deeply impressed by the view from our hotel room. The hotel is state of the art, clean, comfortable and brand new. Sergio, one man for everything was outstanding. Concierge, manger at the reception and speaks excellent English. When we are back to Naples we will book the Grand Hotel Serpide again. Io e il mio ragazzo abiamo trascorso una notte di relax in una delle Junior Suite di questo hotel scoperto per caso ma che si è rivelato una piacevole scoperta. La camera dal design rustico, cosÏ come il resto dell'hotel, l'angolo della vasca idromassaggio con finte decorazioni floreali e luci a LED colorate creano un'a**osfera intima, rilassante e suggestiva. La chicca che abbiamo adorato è stata la cassa bluetooth per ascoltare la musica in vasca! La stanza era dotata tutti i servizi necessari, la pulizia top e ci hanno dato la possibilità di cenare in camera ordinando dall'esterno (noi abbiamo chiamato Glovo, ma ci hanno offerto dei volantini di qualche pizzeria/ristorante nei dintorni). Abbiamo anche apprezzato moltissimo gli orari di check-in e check-out (si poteva lasciare la camera entro le 12.00 facendo tutto con molta calma) e la colazione poteva essere sia ordinata e servita in camera scannerizzando un QR CODE, sia consumata al bar (fino alle 11.30) in cui abbiamo trovato un piccolo buffet davvero ben fornito, variegato e con prodotti di qualità . Sicuramente il rapporto qualità -prezzo è ottimo e siamo rimasti sorpresi e soddisfatti. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

RRip RipWe booked feeling a little nervous as we read the various reviews but also hesitated with little experience of a B&B Guest house.
There seemed very few choices in Naples ( Chiaia district) a prime , safer area ; to have a suite with some kitchenette and a very reasonable price.
We were warmly welcomed to our studio suite, spacious , well organised with a lot of thought in the location of design of fixtures and furniture; seating to take breakfast, working desk and or relax on the sofa.
Brightly lit room with big âcan openâ sound proof windows or option to use the air conditioning system . Views of the nearby residential apar**ents actually helped us feel at home ( even though we were not able to enjoy the Naples sea view)
Bed, mattress , linen and pillows were fine ( for those who require more specific finer finishes should not go to a Guest house)
Bathroom was practical and had all that one needed, with hand held shower and rain shower installed.
Kitchenette had electric stove , coffee maker, kettle , Fridge and utensils. Again sufficient for a 4 night stay.
Any longer an oven or toaster would have been nice to heat up bread.
The highlight worth mentioning, as most reviews have , is Massimo who helped us with recommendations, guided us with a local map, booked day tour to Pompeii, our taxi and so much more..
Honestly, for those of us who have been lucky to stay in 5 star hotels will know that you donât always get this type of discreet professional reliable hospitality that Massimo has shown us.
If you donât mind staying at a guest house which may sound daunting , or that the entrance of the building may be slightly off the side street but having read this review will reassure you that the 24 hours security guards and the gated premises made it feel like a home away from home.

GGuest UserWe stayed in this hotel for 4 nights during a visit to Naples. The location is very convenient, walking distance from the old city and next to the underground and train station. The building has been very tastefully refurbished, the rooms were clean and breakfast lovely. There is an amazing roof terrace to grab a drink or dine, with beautiful plants and a wonderful view! A special mention for the staff: everybody was attentive, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay and will come back if we have the chance.

GGuest User3rd hotel weâve stayed in on Piazza Garibaldi. The location might be a problem for some as there are a lot of people hanging around in the square and side streets but it felt safe to me. In fact I enjoyed sitting on our first floor balcony 12 feet above the pavement where a lot of locals were hanging out; it added to the charm of the place. It has a tiny ground floor footprint and is accessed via a door in the side street. Pretty unremarkable on arrival. But when you get onto the first floor the corridors and bedrooms are white marble throughout - floor and walls. It does look good but means the corridors are echoey. Room itself is good quality but I have concerns about the bathrooms and particularly the shower. Any interior designer surely knows that wet feet on untreated marble are a nasty accident waiting to happen: the 2 just donât mix. The marble floor of the shower is downright dangerous; once youâve rinsed off the shower gel, etc being in the shower is like driving with bald tyres on black ice. Thereâs nothing to hold onto to steady yourself either. I urge the hotel to provide a Bath mat in each room to mitigate this risk. But for this Iâd have scored it 4. Breakfast is taken in the basement and I thought it fine. All the staff we spoke to were pleasant and professional.

GGuest User Ho alloggiato dal 15 al 17 aprile 2023 in questo b&b con il mio ragazzo. Inutile dire che non ci vedranno MAI piĂš. Arriviamo in una zona degradata, piena di ragazzi di colore che ti guardano male, svestiti, mal nutriti, che cercavano nei cassonetti e camminavano scalzi. Nonostante questo aspettiamo Paolo , il nostro addetto al check-in, davanti il portone. Erano le 08:30 del mattino, arriva e dice pure che aveva tardato perchĂŠ era un orario straordinario per arrivare quello, quando noi volevamo lasciare solo i bagagli e andare via. Comunque ci ha fatto pagare e ci ha chiesto 10⏠in piĂš per le tasse, noi abbiamo detto che era tutto compreso e non ha chiesto piĂš nulla e poi ci ha aperto la stanza. Stanza carina e normale, peccato per gli asciugamani pieni di macchie gialle, ma noi avevamo le nostre per fortuna. All entrata del B&b si trova una saletta con dei tavolini e delle signore che la mattina preparano la colazione inclusa nel prezzo , di cui noi non abbiamo usufruito perchĂŠ irritati dai rumori e dalle voci delle stesse alle 07:30 di mattina che purtroppo ci hanno svegliato tutti e due giorni. Per quei pochi giorni di relax che una persona ha, vorrebbe svegliarsi all orario che le pare, ma vabbè . La prima sera usciamo di casa e troviamo dentro il cortile del palazzo su per giĂš 10 ragazzi di colore chi in piedi chi coricati a terra e chi mangiava. Usciamo e decidiamo di chiamare il proprietario per lamentarci della situazione poco sicura e ci risponde con ânon so che dirtiâ e alla nostra affermazione che potevamo ritornare dopo cena solo accompagnati dalle forze dell ordine, risponde con âse vi fa sentire piĂš sicuriâ. Nel frattempo avevamo cercato pure Paolo che dopo averci detto come poteva aiutarci, presentatogli il problema visualizza e non risponde. Non solo, tornati nel B&b e per fortuna c era solo un ragazzo che dormiva davanti il portone, le chiavi non funzionano bene. Cioè non puoi fare neanche di fretta perchĂŠ devi provare ad aprire 2-3 volte. Noi ve lo consigliamo, ci siamo trovati male e non abbiamo avuto nessun appoggio e aiuto, potevano trovarsi benissimo li solo delle ragazze e essere aggredite.

We stayed at Chez Moi for 4 nights. The hotel is located very near the Napoli Centrale station and thus, it is very easy to take the train to various other cities. Also the harbour (the ferries to Amalfi, Capri etc) is within walking distance. Even though they say that Napoli is unsafe and full of thieves, we did not experience the area where the hotel is located as such. Our room window was to the courtyard so we did not hear anything from the street. Our room had been changed without telling us in advance to another, smaller room but we received compensation so we were okay with that. The room was clean and tidy and the beds comfy but a minus goes to the bathroom. It was in a serious need of updating and the shower did not work very well. At some point during our stay, the toilet chair started leaking water but the staff fixed it quickly. The balconies are not real balconies but so called French balconies where you cannot sit. The air conditioner worked well. Our room was located next to the reception and our door did not block any noice so starting at 7 am we started hearing the door bell and the phone ringing etc. The cleaning of the room worked as excepted. Not sure if the bed sheets were changed every day but the towels were. The breakfast was OK, really nothing to highlight but it worked. The staff was friendly but sometimes we could hear them to our room arguing loudly with other guests. If you are looking for a budget hotel with a great location, we would recommend this hotel. If you are looking for a perfect experience, please skip.

I am SO impressed with this hotel - everything was so easy. I was able to WhatsApp reception before and during with any enquiries. The room itself was stunning - very clean and beautifully presented. The bed was very comfortable and the WiFi was strong enough for Netflix. There was also a balcony which was a nice bonus. Checkout was so easy too. All you had to do was leave the keys in a basket outside your room. This hotel is such a steal as it is so amazingly priced. I canât recommend it enough.

GGuest UserI had a short overnight stay so the location is ideal about 400m walking from the main train station. Although a good location it is not a good area at night, a lot of homeless people but there are also some nice restaurants on Garabaldi Square and good coffee shops nearby for pastries and coffee for breakfast. The Hotel reception is on the 2nd floor of the building, big staircase and as others say no lift. Not good for older people or if you have big luggage to carry. The Checkin was fine, the man explained the basics and took me to my room. The cleanliness was perfect, so clean, plenty of fresh white towels, and bathroom was spotless, no problem there. He also gave me the remote control for the air conditioning and that also worked really great so you could sleep well. Bed was fine, seemed clean also, as someone said Quirky decoration. And surprisingly quiet. So if you arenât after a fancy hotel room itâs fine. Only Basic liquid soap amenity supplied. The Front door is locked at 8 pm, and the hotel rooms access, they give you a keys to access, so it seems quite safe, closing early in that area is probably a good thing . Easy to walk to the Old Town and all the sights.
