Novotel Nara (Opening September 2024) Reviews

I stayed there on the first Saturday after the hotel opened. To be honest, it was the worst. I had to wait quite a long time to check in. I think I was still on the short side. It seems that some people had to wait even longer. There was not much to eat in the executive lounge either. They did not replenish the cakes when they ran out, and there was not much food in the evening or at night. There were only snacks, no hot meals. They did not replenish the cups when they ran out, so you should not expect the same as you would in a lounge at another hotel. The restaurant was a buffet both in the morning and at night, but there was not much to choose from and the hot food was lukewarm. There was a line of people waiting to enter in the morning. There was clearly a shortage of staff, and food, tableware, and towels were not replenished, and no one cleaned up the tables after meals. The scales in the large public bath were covered in dust. When I told the staff about it, they said "I'm sorry!", but they left it as it was. It's just not possible! I want my money back.
