Conveniently located just a stone's throw from the JR Nara West Exit, it's also a short walk to the West Exit bus stop for transfers. On the second floor, there's a hot spring called "Wakakusa" which is very relaxing, and they even provide small ice pops. The staff are enthusiastic and happy to answer any questions. Here are a few photos of ancient Nara city: Photo 1, Kofuku-ji Temple Five-story Pagoda; Photo 2, Kofuku-ji Temple Southern Octagonal Hall; Photo 3, Heijo Palace Site (reconstructed buildings) at sunset; Photo 4, Railway crossing behind Suzaku Gate at dusk.

The room was quite small, but the location was super convenient, right next to the JR station, making it easy to get to all the attractions within about a 20-minute walk. The best part was the hot spring in the hotel; even though there was a fee, it wasn't expensive.

The hotel's location is decent, not far from Nara Park and other attractions. There were so many tourists from all over the world feeding the deer, probably hundreds of them. There's also a 'national treasure palace' that's under 'renovation' for 16 years. The hotel breakfast was alright. The public bath didn't have a cold plunge pool or a sauna, and it cost 150 yen. We weren't given the special key card for the public bath during check-in, so we only found out we couldn't get in when we arrived there. I personally feel like it's a bit discriminatory...

This was a great hotel for quality/price. The room had everything including a clothes sterilising machine, which I’ve never seen before, super Japanese! Great public onsen with natural spring waters. Teunagve free ice lolly’s and had a cute tatami areas where you could practise origami.Breakfast buffet was great, was less than a 2km walk through town to the main park and temple area, I would defo stay again!
