Very kind front desk staff, always very helpful. Beautiful location on the Canal de la Robine. We enjoyed our stay.

Girls on reception were great, nice, efficient and friendly check in. Parking was easy and free, price was very reasonable for one night. Location is nice and tranquil, right on the canal and a 15-20 minute into town along the canal, very pleasant. The room itself was large, had a kitchen corner and a jacuzzi bathtub, both nice. Large private terrace right on the canal. However, the whole property is in need of a refresh, carpets are tatty, mould in shower, terrace door did not lock. I’m not sure how this place can be rated 4 stars tbh. We did have a pleasant stay though and the room was certainly clean, no complaints for 100 euros for one night.

I had to google if France has a different system regarding stars in hotels. It’s impossible that this is a 4 stars and the next step is Ritz Carlton. This hotel is 2 stars standard in the rest of the world. The hotel is absolutely filthy and old. Mold in the sink, disgusting carpet. Breakfast is €20 and it’s terrible. The restaurant closes sundays and mondays. The “gym” are 3 machines on the hallway where the rooms are. Just in the middle of the hallway, there is no gym. The people from the lobby leave at night (that would never happen in a real 4 stars hotel). They charge 70€ euros for tourism tax. False advertising. This is 2 stars for non french standards.

It really isn’t a 4 star hotel. Maybe 3, but that’s a stretch too. Needs total renovation. It was fine enough for one night. It was clean & staff was very nice. Breakfast uninspired. We had asked our travel agent for 4 but preferably 5 star hotel. So it was a disappointment.

Hospitable Very pleasant stay in secluded location; helpful attentive reception staff; reasonably priced

This is reminiscent of a concrete block hotel in East Germany before the wall came down. We paid for bed and breakfast but the breakfast was canceled "because there were not enough guests staying". Being offered it in the room is NOT the same experience, nor does one get the browsing choice. The restaurant was also closed, unannounced, so when we got back from an afternoon in town, 30 minutes walk each way (it was very hot) expecting their restaurant to be open, were told we would have to walk back to town again to find one there. Another issue was I came back before my wife one day, as she was looking round the shops. The route back is down the canal, and there are quite a lot of unsavoury looking types hanging round drunk or smoking pot, or what ever. Access to the hotel is through a deserted and gated park, deserted except for a bunch of youths who harassed my wife on the way through. This is a sad and run-down hotel that anyone that is travel-savvy would do well to avoid.

This was our third visit to this hotel so evidently we love it! The rooms are very comfortable, and as well as balconies and private jacuzzis, they are equipped as mini suites with a kitchenette and fridge available, so you can have your own food if you don't want to eat in the restaurant. The situation overlooking the garden and canal is very peaceful.

The staff is the highlight of this establishment! This must have been a great place when it was newer! The location is good but has no food or bar on the night we stayed there. The restaurant is connected to the hotel but was closed on Monday. We were given a list by the staff of places to eat that are open on Monday. We even reserved a table at one of these place Le Coq something or rather. We even got a confirmation of said reservation only to go there and meet the owner on his way out locking the door and he confrirmed that he was NOT open that night. No worries we went to the Domitius on the square and had great food and service, despite their poor reviews. So I would recommend this hotel it was comfortable it even had a walk in shower that was great. It is just a lil tired is all. Thanks!

This place has a Jacuzzi in the room - what a joy. From the time I arrived the staff was being helpful and trying to make my stay enjoyable. Rooms are large and spacious. The presence of a large soaking tub near the bed is odd at first but that soon went away.
