Easily the best trip we’ve ever been on! From the moment we got there, to the moment we left we were taken care of. All the staff was exceptional, and accommodations were great! Would definitely recommend, and we can’t wait to go back!

We have stayed at Sandals more than 100 nights and have visited almost all of their properties. This location is definitely not up to par. First of all the food is mediocre at best. The breakfast buffet is quite small compared to other locations. The bacon was raw and the food was cold. Lunch options were really bad. Dinner was better. There was no consistency with the drinks. The exact same drink would be good one time and bad the next time. If you’re a beach person forget it. The beach is separated by a pier. On one side the waves crash so hard that it ripped out 2 cabanas. You can use the beach on the other side of the pier but there was so much seaweed that washing ashore it wasn’t a pleasant view. They have a private island but the surf was so rough they canceled the ferry every day and we never made it to it. I would like to commend Susan at the sweets n things truck. We went over in the morning to get cookies for our trip home. Was told the cookies wouldn’t be available 11 but Susan took it upon herself to walk over to the bakery and got us cookies. Much appreciated. Also Odane and the loyalty desk went above and beyond. Always smiling and always accommodating. This was definitely our least favorite property. Had lunch with the general manager, Kevin. He seems to be very hands on so hopefully he can bring this property up to speed.

Got off to a bad start when the private transfer to the hotel didn’t materialise. We had paid for butler level and ended up on a tatty shuttle bus, even though we had provided flight details. Anyway, staff were apologetic but it got us off to a rough start. Butlers were mostly attentive and definitely worth paying the extra for. Food was good and drinks plentiful. Room in East bay was nice with a good view and nice balcony- building work on the chapel was continuous though. West bay pool was loud and raucous- definitely not what we’d expected. The quiet pool was a nice find at the back of the resort. Managed a trip to the island although it was closed mainly due to high winds/ getting off the boat was definitely a bit ropey on the return journey! Great manicure in the spa - very good! Would have been nice to have had a spa treatment thrown in to compensate for the lack of transfer that we had paid for and not received. When I mentioned this, we were offered points on a return Sandals booking. On checkout they asked us to sign an NDA before we could claim the points which we refused to do. Disappointed overall with the Sandals experience and could get a higher end experience with genuine customer satisfaction elsewhere. Won’t return in a hurry.

Sandals Royal Bahamian is a very nice resort and our swim up club level room was no exception. However, club level, gets you very little in the way of extra amenities. The club lounge is little more than a reception area. The in-room bar was stocked with a very small assortment of third-rate liquors plus some water and soft drinks. Room service food was mediocre at best. Their charcuterie and cheese board was a joke, the cheese plate was not much better, and the nachos were pathetic with their cold cheese sauce. The restaurants however all had excellent food and service and were very enjoyable. The one word I would use to describe the resort though is noisy. From loud booming disco music up to 12 hours a day, to marching bands, gas powered pressure washers, lawn mowers, leaf blowers and other yard equipment, and construction noise it was nearly impossible to find a quiet, peaceful area to sit and relax and enjoy the sun. It did not help that our room, as nice as it was, was near the party pool. The other pool and building were quieter but did not have as nice accommodations. Sandals bills itself as all inclusive including gratuities. They don’t mention the exceptions. A beach cabana can be rented for $150. USD a day for example. Americans don’t seem to get the gratuities included part either and frequently tip extra, leading to some awkward moments. I would probably not return to this particular resort, but we enjoyed our stay enough that we would seriously consider a butler level suite at another Sandals resort in the future, but only after careful consideration of on-line reviews regarding noise, etc.

We chose to return to Sandals Royal Bahamian for its compact layout, private island, and excellent service. It did not disappoint! We brought my 80+ year old in laws for their first Sandals experience and they had a fantastic time! The food was very good as well as the service. We did not have any issues with service from the bar or at the restaurants. In fact, it seemed like Tasha was our personal server! She took care of us at Tesoro, Aralia House, and then at LePlume! Tasha remembered all our names and was so kind and attentive. So many of the servers were wonderful especially Gershon at Butch's, Valencia at Soy, Larrine at the food truck, Todd at Tesoro, and Star at the Queens Pearl. The bartenders who went out of their way to be friendly and provided service with a smile were Phillip at the Queens Pearl, Anna & Syd at Mr. B's, Willis at the pool bar, and Phillip at the piano bar. The entertainment team was so fun! Playmakers Static, Zoe, and the entire crew were very engaging and we had so many wonderful nights! A stand out employee, Micah at the West Bay Pool, made us feel as if we were VIP's! He literally went out of his way to find chairs for all four of us one day. Plus he continued to check if we needed anything throughout the day....and the following day too! Ronnie, from the Club Lounge, gave me a tour of an east bay room as we have only stayed in the west side building. The room was beautiful! We enjoyed a delicious lunch with the managers. Delino Moss, the hotel manager, had already introduced himself to us as he walked the property the previous day. We were so glad to be able to sit next to him at lunch and have more conversation. Mr. Moss was visible on the property every day. It was a nice thing to see. We were so happy with our second stay at Sandals Royal Bahamian and look forward to returning home soon.

Shoutout to several special people who made our dream vacation even more spectacular: Our airport drivers Esuardo and Ricky Ricardo who were both so friendly and entertaining .. Chris, our Nassau tour guide who proudly showed off his home city while keeping us entertained and safe.. And our AH-mazing butlers Charmaine, Kimerly and Nicola who spoiled us with special treats, fabulous drinks and treated us with kindness and respect. We loved the resort and would go back in a heartbeat.

Royal Bahamian. We stayed in Room 407 and 504 from the 29th Oct to 10th Nov. We paid a large amount of money for our room and did not expect the appalling welcome we had on arrival. The coach that collected us from the airport did not depart for 20 minutes despite having no other guests to collect. When we arrived to check in at the club lounge we were asked to be taken to one side by the guest services manager and told we could not check in if l did not supply my military service number even though we had paid 7.5k prior to arrival and had supplied proof of service to the UK office. We were treated like criminals and were dumbfounded that they could speak to us in this way. At one point they said you will have to be given a refund and go elsewhere. We had just spent 10 hours on a flight and needed a warm welcome. I have never in all my life been treated like this. They did not offer a solution or say let’s sort it out in the morning! I had to telephone my daughter in the UK and get her out of bed to travel to my home and take a picture of my service record and email it over. When we were Allowed into a room on floor 4 East Bay the corridor smelt damp and the room smelt of mold, the air conditioning unit was very noisy, we spent one night in this room as l would suggested it would be detrimental to anyone’s lung health. The maintenance team agreed the smell was not nice. I need to have a diet high in pottassium therefore eat bananas at least daily. There were no bananas in any of the breakfast restaurants and they had to be obtained from the supermarket, really in a Caribbean country. I also need decaf beverages and no decaf tea was available. The jams and yoghurts are of a poor quality and full of corn syrup. Hot food at breakfast mostly cold and l think the scrambled eggs were cartoon egg. Poor show on you. I have stayed in a lot of hotels around the world and this was a very bad experience.

Review: Terrible Experience at This Resort This has been, hands down, the worst vacation experience we’ve ever had. We are currently still at the resort, and honestly, we’ve been ready to leave since day one. From start to finish, it’s been nothing but disappointment after disappointment. First off, the food is atrocious, especially breakfast. Everything is cold — cold bacon, cold French toast, cold eggs, you name it. It’s like they don’t even bother trying to keep the food warm. Trying to get to the island is a nightmare. Be prepared to wait in line for over an hour just to get on the boat, only to find out the waters are so rough that you can’t even enjoy the ocean once you’re there. If you’re looking forward to beach time, forget it. The beach is unusable, covered in sea grass that they’re constantly trying to rake or bury, but it’s a losing battle. What’s the point of a beach resort if the beach itself is unappealing and unusable? The service is equally disappointing. Our room didn’t have any bottled water upon arrival, and every time we go to a restaurant, it takes a good 10-15 minutes just to get a glass of water. Speaking of restaurants, their reservations are a joke. Even with a reservation, we’ve had to wait forever to be seated. For our 15th anniversary dinner, we were told there would be an additional wait of 1 hour and 15 minutes past our reservation time. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially since they advertise having a variety of restaurants, but the options are actually very limited. As for drinks, don’t even bother trying to get a consistent cocktail. Every time we ordered the same drink, it came out completely different, and half the time, it wasn’t even what we asked for. You never know what you’re going to get. Entertainment is practically non-existent. Don’t expect any lively activities or shows. And if you’re craving something as simple as chocolate ice cream, forget about it. They don’t have it, despite listing it on their menu. The pool area is another sore spot. People wake up early just to reserve pool chairs with towels, so by the time you arrive, all the chairs are “taken” but hardly anyone is actually using them. It’s ridiculous to see a nearly empty pool but no available seating because everything’s been “reserved.” Overall, this place is a complete disaster. It’s the worst resort experience we’ve ever had, and we’re beyond disappointed. We came here to celebrate a special occasion, but instead, we’re counting down the days until we can leave. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.

We stayed in the West Bay Honeymoon Hideaway Swim-Up Crystal Lagoon Zen Butler Suite. We really enjoyed our stay and the food. Our butler team; Stirling, Keisha, and Kevinson were top notch and really made our honeymoon as perfect as it could be! The bartenders were fabulous and the private transfer to/from the resort to the airport with Ricardo was enjoyable! The restaurant staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable on my shellfish allergy. Our favorite restaurant was Butch’s (we went twice). We also really enjoyed Soy as well. Our room was very clean and we were able to run the AC on 65 degrees the entire week. We enjoyed this trip so much we booked another Sandals resort for September 2025 with my parents while on site. The only con from this was the $100 voucher given from the loyalty counter. We booked on the second to last day and were told we could use the voucher on an excursion (even if we had already gone, as long as it was charged to the room) or use it on a spa service. Since we only had one day left the pedicure service was booked for the day so we weren’t able to use it for that. We had taken an excursion to swim with the dolphins earlier in the week that the excursion center booked for us. Upon check out I took the voucher to the check out desk where we were told we couldn’t use it that we had to have given the voucher before the excursion was taken. The front desk told me to go to the loyalty center to see if they could change the dates on the voucher to use on our next trip. I walked back to the loyalty center where they told me they couldn’t do that. I then explained what the front desk had told us and they said to give them a second they would verify. They then called the travel desk where she asked, “as long as a guest books the excursion and puts it on the room they can use the voucher at anytime?” I am only assuming the person on the other line said that was incorrect because her next response was, “well that’s good to know, I guess”. She then hung up and told us there was nothing they could do. The voucher was pretty much useless but at least we go a t-shirt! All in all; wonderful honeymoon.
