We came to Sandyport on our honeymoon. We booked the day before we arrived, so it was great to have availability. We were surprised that the price seemed high, but then realized that everything was equally if not more high as we came from Canada so the exchange rate had a big impact. We really enjoyed the location, we stayed in a lagoon-view room which was great. The property was overall very quiet, with relatively few people. We could always get a beach chair at any time of day without any trouble, and we were able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet at any time of day which we loved. The room was fine - nothing special. Some of the appliances seemed out of date, and we didn't use the Jacuzzi, but overall the room was serviceable and had what we wanted. Certainly not a luxury room though, but the A/C was great and it was totally fine to sleep and spend time at the start and end of the day. We found the staff very helpful and pleasant to interact with, in particular the porter who showed us to our room, the front desk staff who re-scheduled taxis multiple times as our flight got pushed back, and the concierge who helped us book excursions. Lady Sarah, the concierge, was particularly helpful. We showed up without any plans booked, and she helped us understand the different options for an inter-island powerboat trip, and how the different things to watch for in the forecast would affect which day we should book (we were told we didn't need to worry about rain, but to watch out for wind). She was great and we booked two excursions through her, a powerboat trip to swim with pigs, turtles, hang out at a couple beaches, and see a few of the smaller islands, and a bus tour of Nassau which ended up being almost a private tour with us and 1 other participant and we really enjoyed. The food at the on-resort restaurants, was good but didn't blow us away. We enjoyed the conch fritters and mostly ate seafood. We ate at the Spritz once which was fine, but really enjoyed sitting at the end of the lagoon at night and watching turtles swim around in the water lit up by lights from the restaurant. We ate at the Blue Sail multiple times. Our favorite meal was the last night when we had seafood fettucine alfredo, whole spicy snapper, and spicy tuna sushi. The sushi in particular was great, with the freshest-tasting tuna I've ever eaten. Overall, I would recommend staying here if you're looking to avoid crowds and don't care about staying at a luxury resort.
