Hotels near Inventure's bay, Naxos

Room (spotlessly clean, good size, comfy bed, cosy, large balcony, lockable safe), location (a min to Plaka beach and supermarket, also some restaurants and another larger supermarket walking distance, a min to bus stop to Chora via other beaches which was running every 30mins when I was there), kitchenette (sink, fridge, electric hob, kettle and other facilities to cook), lovely breakfast on the balcony €12 (omelette or crepe, bread, Greek yoghurt, homemade jams which were delicious, coffee, juice) well priced and worth the money, a large bottle of drinking water provided, cotton towels were super thick and quality, owner was very friendly and helpful he wrote out a suggested itinerary for my stay. He can help with renting vehicles to travel around the island. I was made to feel welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay here. If I could have, I would have stayed longer! I don't often give such high praise! But I can't fault this place at all! I was even offered a late checkout and a room upgrade. Thank you so much.

Went there on Olympic Island Hopping package and this hotel was allocated for Naxos part of trip. Everything has pros and cons.The pros first ( there aren't many).Near to Naxo town and bus services and rooms basic but clean. The cons.The noise, complainted about by other reviewers, isn't really passing traffic noise and it is not at night.Right next door to hotel is a large supermarket and distribution depot.The noise is round the pool area.This consists on lorries regularly arriving and been volubly unloaded by noisy diesel fork lift trucks.This makes for nearly constant banging and crashing of pallets being unloaded, dropped and stacked.All with attendant noise from various reversing warnings.All in all makes stay by pool totally noise and unrelaxing.Add to that noisy rap music played by barman, for his own amusement, and you have a lousy pool atmosphere. Add to this the (once again) barely adequate breakfast.Stone cold omlet egg, placed in an unfunctioning food heater, barely working coffee machine, ditto toaster, warm yogurt, water melon pieces virtually a mush. To be fair, some things were ok, if you stuck to cornflakes. Add to all this, apparently new, room safes which do not work.Or you would be best avised not use them in case you couldn't get your own valuables out. Olympic Holidays ought to consider removing this hotel from their books and certainly offering another choice to guests on Island Hopping package.

I only stayed in the small island of Naxos for one night and chose the hotel Astir of Naxos. It takes about 25 minutes to walk from the port to the hotel. It is better to walk along the small road on the other side of the sea. The road is relatively flat and there is no need to climb up and down. The hotel is about 5 minutes away from the large sandy beach Agios Georgios Beach and the 2-storey Super Market Koutelieris. It is said that this is the largest supermarket in Greece 🇬🇷, where you can buy a lot of food produced in Greece. Here I bought Greek biscuit bars, coffee powder and honey from Coffee Island, a large chain coffee shop in Greece. When checking in, the hotel gave us a glass of alcoholic lemon welcome drink. The staff is also very friendly. They gave us a map, patiently explained the nearby places to go, and gave us the bus schedule. The hotel is 2 floors high and there is no elevator 🛗. It will be a bit painful to live on the 2nd floor with large luggage. The room design is very environmentally friendly ♻️. At first, I thought the air conditioner was broken and couldn't be turned on. When I walked to the reception, the staff asked me if I had closed the window, and she said that I had to close the window first to turn on the air conditioner. I find it odd that she said that. then she Come to the room to demonstrate, and sure enough, the windows are closed tightly, and the air-conditioning is turned on! This is the first time I have seen a hotel room with this design! So special! There are 3 single beds in the room, which are so wide that you can open 2 large suitcases at the same time. There is a small terrace with 2 chairs 🪑 and a table, which can look out to the street outside the hotel, which is open but not worth admiring. The bathroom is like other Greek hotels, with a small piece of tank glass, and the water will splash and wet the whole bathroom when taking a shower. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. are available in small bottles of the Fillos of Sea Nature brand. The overall feeling of the room is a bit old, but clean and reasonable. The hotel has a swimming pool, but it is not a heated pool. When I went in June, the water was still a bit freezing. Breakfast is provided and can be enjoyed by the pool. My partner and I spent 5 nights on the sun beach. The location was great. In the vicinity (5 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the supermarket). The room was not huge, but it was clean. The shower cabin was a little small, not much space for bigger people. The reception had no great English, but we could get through and reach the final result. They have cleaned the room regularly. We are very helpful with fresh kiss and small queries. In short, beautiful, relaxing place to stay. The pool was beautiful and near. Paradise. Sunset every evening. Certainly worth a visit.

What a wonderful week we had here ! Just a short walk 5-10 min into Naxos town , right on St George’s beach (our room looked out over it ) , tavernas , shops everything at your doorstep yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle to find peace and relaxation. But for us it was the wonderful staff , Ileni , Rania and all the team that made our stay so memorable. They helped with rental car hire , tips for tours , restaurant advice anything we needed they helped so kindly and willingly .. we will be recommending this hot l to our friends for sure !
