The place was closer to the old city but in a bit nice neighborhood. You felt a bit unsafe at night. People were nice and helpful but the hotel room was not clean enough. The bedsheets were yellowish, the floor was dirty and the tv remote didn’t work. I had to ask many time until the problem was fixed. Definitely not at 4 stars hotel, more like a good 3 stars one.

The staff were very friendly. It is an old house in Nazareth, so it is very beautiful. The bed covers are changed often and the cleaning is always good. The lobby and kitchen on the first floor were very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. I went to the sale season and calculated the room price cheaply. If breakfast was eaten outside, it would cost more than the room price. It's clean and delicious. It was a little cold because it was winter, but it would be very nice to go during the travel season. The alley in front of the hostel is beautiful and there are small shops and cafes. Personally, since I live in the city, I highly recommend the Pauzia Jain ~ Abraham Hostel, located in an alley with a lot of Old City feel and old house ^^

We had a wonderful weekend in the beautiful old city of Nazereth. The bus from Tel Aviv (Savidor Train Station) takes about 2 hours and will drop you on the main road. We stored our lugguage at the train station since we were returning to Tel Aviv on our way back from Jerusalem. Made life so much easier. We walked from there up the hill to the hostel. There are taxis around but we opted to walk instead. Our hosts Michelan and Sharif were very gracious, welcoming, professional and super friendly. We booked a private room which were on the top floor with beautiful views of the entire hostel and parts of the city. The room was simple yet very clean. We also did both free walking tours offerred by the hostel which were very informative and helpful. Do not forget to walk to Mount Precipice (sunset) which takes about 45 min one way. The breakfast was Mediteranian with fresh breads, cheese, jams and fruit, cereals and coffee. Very delicious and adequate to get you started. There are also plenty of coffee shops in the old city. Try the Knafe!! Freshly made on the spot. If you like spices do not forget to take the tour with Michela. She will take you to some very interesting spots around the old city. Thank you for a wonderful and unforgettable memory!!

The horrible staff threatened me because of the lights . No air conditioning.it was hot and noisy . Don’t go there and waste your money. I have been to all the Abraham’s hostels in Israel and this is the worst case I have had to deal with today! No

Be prepared to walk a few steps to reach this old world charm of a place! :-) Staff were very warm and friendly. Kudos to Zaher, he went that extra mile to make me feel very welcome. The room was spacious, big bed, lovely bedding and air-conditioned with an on-suite bathroom. Had an under-counter fridge, tea and coffee station. Lovely seating on the patio areas to relax on during the cool of the late afternoons. Tasty Arabian/ Mediterranean breakfast on offer. Lovely cold water, Aromatic Arabian coffee and delicious cake are available throughout the day for free!! Tours are offered of the city as well as further afield such as of the Galilean region. It is also the place from which to start the multi-day (4 - 5 days ) hike, the Jesus Trail. The support I got from Waseem of Abraham Tours, both the prep talk on arrival and during my solo hike of the Jesus Trail, was out of this world!!! Shokran jzylaan, Waseem!

The charming haus Fauzi Azar by Abraham located in the old town close to all the attractions. According to my memories, it is a very pleasant accommodation: the interior is cosy, special and oriental. The service is friendly and smart. The whole accommodation is very tastefully and creatively decorated. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the old town of Nazareth.

We had a very nice stay at Fauzi Azar. The staff is super friendly and helpful and eager to share insights on how to enjoy your stay in Nazareth to the fullest. The hostel is located in the old city center in a cosy narrow street. The accomodation itself is an authentic old building. It was one of the most memorable stay in Israel, we highly recommend it!

The beautiful Fauzi Azar Hostel is in a stunning historic building with breathtaking ceiling paintings, a courtyard, and inviting public spaces. It offers an amazing view over the city and the landmark Church of the Annunciation, located right in the heart of Nazareth’s old town. Both the private room as well as the dorms and facilities were super clean, the breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly and accommodating. We hugely enjoyed our 3 night stay at Fauzi and will happily recommend it to anyone traveling to Nazareth. Absolutely worth its money and hugely enjoyable!
Response from Property: Thank you for your kind words! We're glad you had a stunning stay at Fauzi Azar Hostel. Our beautiful building, amazing view, friendly staff, and cleanliness are what we strive for. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back soon!

Lovely quirky hotel. Loved the rooms (with our Narnia style bathroom) and the courtyard. Good breakfast and helpful staff. My only negative comment is about the “free” walking tour. It’s not free. The guide expected a tip and said so before he started. The tour was also just politically motivated with very little history of Nazareth itself. The guide just gave his own views on how awful the Israelis are. This was disappointing and not what I expected. Great place to start our Jesus Trail walk.
Response from Property: Thank you for your review, we never said Israelis are awful or Palestinians are awful, we just presented a historical political overview of Nazareth, the whole of the tour was Nazareth history, through different phases. It's striking to read that you thought there was little history of Nazareth. You can also read you friend's review for the more detailed response. Lastly, the concept of ''free'' walking tours is the same all around the world, tips are naturally expected this how these tours guides make a living but still no one forces you to actually give a tip. On you next stay with us, we will give you a discount or a free drink to compensate for you tip dear.

Although we were not guests of the hostel, my wife and I received permission to join the free walking tour of Nazareth. The guide, Sharif, told us that we would be receiving a tour from his Palestinian perspective, which would also include an explanation on local politics. What we received was a long lecture on what he claimed was Israeli policy towards local Muslim Arabs going back 75 years, with special mention of the War of Independence in 1948, the unfortunate mistaken deaths of around 50 Muslim civilians 65 years ago during the Suez War, the Arab intifada of 2000 and the accidental shooting of an American-Palestinian reporter. He failed to mention any reason behind any of the these events, nor any of the thousands of Israeli civilian murders at the hands of Palestinians. In other words, his version of history with absolutely no historical context. When I brought up the matter of what recent mayors of Nazareth have done for the city, he simply dismissed many years of several mayors whom he explained he disliked, giving one or two reasons. There was no real discussion of local politics, very little explanation on modern Nazareth, and very little walking. Although the tour was supposed to be about Nazareth, Sharif spent most of the time lecturing us on Israeli history, playing fast and furious with the truth. After the tour my wife and I stayed on, explaining the background to Sharif's narrative to the group, and answering their questions. Several of them joined us for a fascinating free guided tour of archaeological ruins and caves underThe Sisters of Nazareth Convent, which lasted an hour and included no politics or recent events. In summary, we were greatly disappointed to receive so little information about Nazareth, see so little of the city, learn nothing of the city's politics, and be subjected to a long harangue about the unfortunate Palestinians vs the evil Jews with no background, half-truths, one whopping untruth regarding (non existing) Arab refugee camps in Israel, and no mention of the refugee camps for Jews kicked out of Arab countries.
