The transition hotel for the first night is very cost-effective and I am quite satisfied with it. The breakfast is not bad but not unpalatable. The service is also very good. It is recommended for temporary transition.

Pleasant accommodation. The highlight was the friendliness and hospitality of the staff, always willing to help and make the stay more pleasant. Not a bad hotel, when after the flight you want to take a breather and not start off right away, I mean, around the island) We got there in the off-season, there were few guests, so the rented tuk-tuk fit into the small parking lot without problems. Friendly staff with a welcome drink and adapters for sockets for your charger, the room almost)) with a view. There is an exit to the sea, although I'm not sure that it is comfortable to swim there, but the sunsets are gorgeous ;) The pool was very useful. Keep in mind that there is no infrastructure nearby, not wanting to have dinner at the hotel, we went in search and looked for at least something for quite a long time. Perhaps it was necessary not to drive around the neighborhood, but to give the local chef a chance, since the breakfast was quite simple, but tasty

we stayed at ziegler cottage for two nights on our first visit to sri lanka . 30 minutes from airport , private clean pool and beach access at rear , tidy spacious room with balcony overlooking the sea , great staff and good breakfast , we were introduced to Mohan who organised a driver and guide for 5 days throughout central sri lanka , Sadeera was fantastic , young , trustworthy , speaking good english and assisting us in ticketing , advice and hotel choices , we would highly recommend him to anyone travelling to sri lanka

Amazing stay at Ziegler Cottage
Nice stay. Very affordable, great pool and location on the beach. Breakfast was great and the views from our room was splendid as well. I give it 4 stars because the staff was really bad at washing our clothes so do that somewhere else. Otherwise great place!

Nice guesthouse, remote
Very cute little guesthouse. Note that it is in the middle of nowhere, so if you want to explore it's not very convenient. Also you are basically bound to the hotel restaurant, which is decent but not fancy. But the rooms and pool area are nice, with an exit onto the beach. Super good value for a getaway when you truly just want to relax :)
