Vivanta Colombo, Airport Garden Reviews

I recently stayed at Vivanta Colombo Airport Gardens and had a mixed experience. The pool area is absolutely fabulous, offering a great place to relax. The food exceeded my expectations, with wonderful flavors and a good variety. The staff were notably attentive, contributing positively to the overall experience. However, the pricing felt a bit steep for what was offered, especially given the disappointing room view which was just overlooking buildings, contrary to the picturesque images advertised. Additionally, the terms and conditions were confusing and poorly written, potentially disadvantaging guests. A word of advice: skip the pricey airport shuttle service, which costs 4000 Sri Lankan rupees, and opt for an Uber or PickMe ride, which you can get for around 500 rupees.

The sanitation is OK, the quilt has a little smell, the bathroom should be renovated, it's OK, but not big. The wardrobe is relatively simple, the safe in each room is different, and some are not fixed to the wall. The room rate is high because it is close to the airport (4km), and you may not be able to get a taxi at night. The Uber driver will cancel the order and raise the price on the spot. Some hotel reservations include free airport pick-up/drop-off, which is good, and the car is relatively new. There is a third-party business car that can be rented with the driver, and the round-trip price is OK. The service is very good, 90% of the employees are very enthusiastic. The communication with the duty manager is also relatively smooth. There is a souvenir shop downstairs where you can buy recharge cards. The seafood noodles in the Chinese restaurant are not bad. It would be better if the sanitation could be better. The front desk is slow, but the overall service quality is good.

It is very close to Colombo Bandaranaike Airport, so you can stay here if you arrive in Lanka at midnight.

We had a quick overnight stopover of less than 12 hrs. Stayed at this hotel. Highlight was the breakfast buffet and in particular the hospitality shown by Noyel K and staff. Rooms had a slight musty smell, however it was clean and comfortable.

We had the delight of tasting a wonderful desert made personally by the chef himself; Noyel Karunarathne. This cake was next level, and was presented beautifully. Noyel and all the hotel staff's hospitality was exceptional, we are definitely coming back for another stay!

We were only one night in the hotel because of our flight delay to another day, we liked the hotel, it’s clean, nice and comfortable, also dishes were very good and tasty, pastry chef Noyel Karunarathne gave us as a compliment nice cake, we enjoyed it very much, thank to all the personnel

The service is excellent and everybody's very polite and active giving service especially Chathuri and Raini. Hotel room is very nice and clean, the food is verygood and every employee is warm and welcoming. Surely going back here again..

We had an amazing honeymoon at Vivanta Colombo Airport Garden Hotel. The hotel is fabulous, the breakfast buffet is out of this world, and the customer service is exceptional. A special thanks to Mr. Noyel Karunarathne, the Pastry Chef, who treated us wonderfully. Highly recommend!

The aesthetic and calm environment was inspired us to celebrate our first wedding anniversary at vivanta hotel. We are truly grateful for your gracious hospitality. We remembered all the beautiful memories we had in our wedding day too. Special thanks to chef Noyel Karunarathna (Mint Restaurant) for surprising us with a prettiest anniversary cake which we didn't expect. He turned our day to a memorable one. The rest of the staff was also very friendly. Desserts were delicious and we enjoyed the BBQ live session too. We had a great time. Enjoyed our visit and hope to be there again! I was at Vivanta airport hotel recently just for a day. My room was clean, spacious , well equipped and comfortable. The hotels has a huge garden and clean nice pool to relax. The staff was friendly and good hearted a hallmark of exceptional hospitality. Special Thanks to Mr.Chaminda (the manager) who assisted me by arranging 02 beautiful cakes for my father's birthday. it was delicious and prepared by chef Sugath and Manisha. Food was delicious and prepared for our taste as we had special food requirements. The lovely staff - Ms.Chathuri at Mynt, well taken cared of us at the restaurant with her fellow colleagues. We had a enjoyable stay and a memorable experience !!

We had a very enjoyable stay here, the room was clean and comfortable. We received a lovely fruit platter on arrival too. Breakfast was a highlight! The team went out of their way for us and provided incredible service. Chathuri and Kasun attended our table and were very attentive and took care of our every need. The pastry chef at Vivanta, Noyel, also made us feel incredibly welcome and prepared a beautiful and delicious welcome cake and cookies. Above and beyond our expectations! Left breakfast very full and very content.

The hotel is very nice, but the stuff itself is even better. Thanks so much to Ms. Chathzuri Upali for her service. :) I will be coming many more times which makes me even more grateful that i chose place like this. You have my all recommendations!

I have to write this review for people to know what is going on in this hotel . I am a frequent visitor to this place for work purposes. At the beginning i would like to say the staff is nice and friendly apart from one duty manager who is a complicated person and never to support ,but shares false information specifically when you need assistance from him . There are two buildings in this hotel one is renovated and is old , outdated and smelly . I request to get the renovated one but he never gives that rooms no matter what as if he is keeping it for his own guests and he said managment said not to give then he said its under renovation then he said three day before and kept on changing his words , unprofessional at all , and this is noticed everytime with all my colleagues who encounter him at that work shift . Hotel is outdated , and you should be extra careful when youbstay here , Snakes , reptiles, and insects along with lice is found. I have videos and pics of what i captured from a cobra snake by the gym area , another one was found by the pool area , and in a colleagues room ,i also have a video of the monitor lizard crawling in the hotel vicinity and nothing is to be done to it , stray dogs in the restaurant area , and frogs are just there everywhere. I am writing this report now as i have encountered the duty manager and told him that i will report it .
