Sweet Songs Jungle Lodge

Sweet Songs was amazing! The staff was very friendly and super helpful in coordinating excursions to the nearby Mayan sites as well as transportation to and from Belize City. The farm to table restaurant on site provided excellent meals. Don’t miss the stewed pumpkin dessert when it’s available! A big thank you to Ragnar for getting us the recipe. The wildlife including the howler monkeys and all the bird species was a special treat.

Sweet Songs made my stay at Belize everything that it was! My best friend and I were able to reserve a cozy, spacious room in the jungle for 6 nights and everything we needed or wanted was readily available due to the amazing staff! All of the food was perfect and knowing that everything comes from their own farm is such a refreshing and fun detail- you can truly taste the quality in every dish. The cooks and servers gave the best service- creating custom cocktails, teas, and snacks for our tastes and checking in on us all the time. A special thanks to Rita, Derby, Masyn, Enrique, Katherine, and the kitchen manager Ragnor (and so so many others whose names I didn’t catch or don’t remember) for making us feel so welcomed and comfortable. We felt like we were among friends every day. We enjoyed so many activities such as horseback riding with Armanio, the Iguana tour with George, made our own hot chocolate with Jackie, as well as cave tubing, ziplining, and a tour of Xunantunich with our amazing guide Selvin. Towards the end of the trip, I had a bit of a cough and Armanio cut us a peice of a tree to give to the kitchen to make a healthy tea, which was just above and beyond. I truly cannot have asked for a better experience. It felt like a truly immersive Belizian experience as we got to know to know the staff and try all of their favorite food and drinks. Cant wait to come back!

Best place in San Ignacio. Would highly recommend to anyone. Service is extremely friendly and attentive. The resort is beautiful with so much to see and do. The rooms are gorgeous and set to the perfect temperature. It was a perfect jungle experience!

I never wanted to leave. Everything about this trip has been exceptional! Our treehouse was very comfortable. We both loved the swinging platform bed and I loved the tub. The best part was the jungle sounds that change throughout the day— birdsong, howler monkeys, singing insects and the rain. We enjoyed all of the plant and bird life here at the resort and out on our excursions. The biodiversity is so impressive. The food was delicious- don’t miss the banana pancakes or the coconut mojito! The pool was beautiful and very welcome on the hot afternoons. We did two tours through the resort— canoeing at Barton Creek Cave and horseback riding to Xunantunich. Both were exceptional! Carlos provided plenty of good information about Mayan history and archaeology in the region, and Tito took us to incredible views and taught us about all sorts of plants on our horseback ride through the jungle. What made Sweet Songs very special was the people. Everyone was friendly, shared information about the community and history of the area and took great pride in the resort itself. Rita, Enrique, Maxson, Carlos and Tiro in particular took such great care of us. The other travelers were great too— the small size of the resort makes it easy to get to know others with similar interests. I was a little worried on the way here that the descriptions were too good to be true. Instead, everything was what was promised and more. I hope to be lucky enough to come back!

My experience at sweet songs was the absolute best- the atmosphere of being enveloped in the jungles of western Belize has brought absolute tranquility. While the ambiance is gracious the Staff and team at sweet songs made the experience top tier they knocked it out the park Checking in with Catherine was smooth and easy as she laid out the overview of the resort took us over to our room Where our bed was decorated as we were celebrating our son’s 3rd birthdayy!!! To dinner with Rita and Derby where they blessed our boy with a beautiful happy birthday!! Mason= margaritas, I am a margarita fanatic and trust when I say INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you so much for an unbelizeably wild experience!

The Treehouse was amazing. Makes you feel one with nature and the staff was absolutely incredible. Felt like family everywhere we went on the property. Lots to do and the food was some of the best I have had. Canoeing, tubing, mountain biking and hiking were great on site activities and ending the day with a massage was icing on the cake. Definitely take advantage of the ATM tour as it was one of the best experiences we had outside of the lodge. Will be back again!

Awesome place and very clean. Came with our family with kids 6 and 3 with tons to do. Staff was very nice and attentive. We would definitely come back. Pretty spot in the middle of the jungle with swings all over the property and cool tree houses and even a real tree house to play in.

This was such a peaceful environment and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is wonderful. Ragner is a true ambassador for Belize and the property. Also, the food is awesome. Definitely a return visit. Thanks Sweet Songs for a wonderful wedding anniversary weekend.
