This used to be a place of preference to stay, but it has deteriorated drastically. Firstly it was hard to get in touch to make a booking, many unanswered phone calls and e mails. The rooms are VERY dated, mouldy smelling old carpet, the toilet didn’t flash, A/C didn’t work, no hot water on arrival. Reception switched the hot water on for us on request and the result was brown water and banging pipes. Sad to see how maintenance has not been attended to lately. Seems new owners have not invested in upkeep. The setting, green and quiet is still a plus of this place and the food/kitchen will take a while, but food is still of high quality. The very friendly staff tried their best, but we checked out after 2 nights and moved to another hotel.

Stayed several nights while transiting between flights elsewhere. An oasis of calm in the chaos of Nepalgunj. Well-managed, fairly priced and with everything one would need for a short or long stay. Many thanks to the kind and attentive staff!
