Hotel Nerja Club by Dorobe

We had stayed in the Nerja club Hotel before and had been given a room appropriate to my request on medical grounds. I have sinus and breathing difficulties and can't use air conditioning. I need a room fairly high up to allow me to sleep with open windows away from noise. On arriving I was allocated a room one above ground floor with an extremely noisy air conditioning unit serving the hotel immediately outside. This was my worst nightmare. I explained my problem to the receptionist who said the hotel was full. To add to my problems ,the room was tiny and not as advertised on our booking site. If one person was walking, the other had to sit on the bed. After the first night, I spoke to reception. I was breathless and ill. I offered to pay more for a better room but the response was that I should have booked a pool room. I had not done this because I knew that this area had noisy air conditioning units around the bottom. I asked on another 2 occasions. It was obvious by now that i was ill. Around 3am on the second day , we decided to move hotels as I was becoming increasingly breathless. I checked availability of hotels in Nerja and found that rooms in the Nerja Club were still advertised as available. I e- mailed our rep who checked that I had submitted a request on medical grounds and contacted the hotel on my behalf. We were moved to a more suitable room that day however I was ill for the rest of the holiday. If it had not been for our rep, we would have had to move hotel. On the plus side, the room cleaning was perfect and the food though limited in choice was well cooked. We won't be returning to the Nerja Club

The hotel is very friendly. Rooms cleaned and new towels daily. Food was good and always a good variation at breakfast and dinner. Happy hour good. Spa session enjoyable. Entertainment was enjoyable and varied by a great singer. Met some lovely people.
