DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans

Good hotel location. Very good staff. But I found piece of glass under the bed. Breakfast in cafe on the 1st floor was very bad. We didn’t like it.

A very beautiful hotel with friendly staff. The hotel room prices were very reasonable. Nice toiletries and great views. Will definitely stay here again.

Jayboy hooked us up at the Double tree restaurant/bar, service was excellent! And the gumbo taste so good makes you wanna slap yo mama!

Our stay at DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans was absolutely disgusting, unsafe, and unacceptable—and it occurred on my birthday, which made the experience even more distressing. We encountered bed bugs, evidenced by multiple bites on two guests that occurred overnight while staying in the hotel. These bites were not present prior to check-in. We also discovered mold and spore-like objects embedded in the bed sheets, along with visibly dirty, unsanitary linens. This is a serious health hazard, not a minor housekeeping issue. One of the rooms also had a strong sewage odor, making it completely uninhabitable. When we reported these issues, management—specifically Jameela—instead of showing empathy, was hostile, dismissive, and at times threatening, showing little concern for guest safety or wellbeing. Her conduct escalated an already alarming situation and was completely inappropriate for someone in a management role. After telling her how unacceptable the hotel conditions and her behavior were, she said verbatim “would you like me to reverse the refund, because I hold the power to do that”. This was highly inappropriate and showed her lack of managerial skills. The only staff member who showed empathy and professionalism was Christina. She was understanding, compassionate, and genuinely tried to help during this horrible experience, especially considering it was my birthday. Christina’s behavior was the only bright spot in an otherwise unacceptable stay. Because of the bed bug exposure, mold-contaminated bedding, sewage odor, and unsanitary conditions, we were forced to leave the hotel immediately and secure emergency accommodations elsewhere at our own expense. Although the hotel later refunded the rooms and parking, Hilton corporate refused to reimburse the additional hotel costs we incurred or offer Hilton honors rewards or credit for a future stay at a different Hilton. They attempted to close the case without meaningfully addressing the bed bugs, mold, sewage conditions, or management misconduct. This property is a public health risk and does not reflect Hilton standards in any way. If you value your health, safety, or peace of mind—especially for a special occasion—do not stay here. Inspect everything thoroughly and be prepared to leave. If I could leave zero stars I would!

had an issue with my booking, and Leann took care of everything so smoothly. Traveling solo, she made me feel safe and right at home. Leann always had a smile and such a welcoming energy. She truly made my trip! thank you so much!
