Blake Hotel New Orleans, BW Premier Collection

The hotel feels tired and dated. It’s definitely overdue a refurbishment. Bed was comfy but the room was shabby.

Blake hotels seems to be a hotel that was fine in the 90s, but now a days, they really need to renovate a lot, the price since it was around new years, was pretty excessive and didn’t include breakfast, the staff was decently nice tho, my room was fine but not the cleanest! They really need to change the pillows for real …. There’s a $100 deposit also.. we are expecting that back still.

Came over on the Amtrak train from Biloxi for the concert and Blake was perfectly located between the smoothie King Center in French Quarter. Easy to get to. Wonderful room. Plan on returning. 

I checked in at 2 am and the front desk staff acted really weird. The fire alarm went off friday morning and I had to rush out of my room and take the stairwell 8 flights and out into an alley only to be told it was an accident. No apologies. My card constantly deactivated and at one point I called the front desk to have someone bring me a card because I had just left the lobby getting the card reactivated. Someone refreshed by bed but didnt change the sheets. Or bring fresh wash clothes. Only one elevator.

Very cozy but somehow roomy (high ceilings). Very quiet. Crazy comfortable bed. Exceptionally clean. Will definitely stay again and recommend others to do so.

It's good for the price and location, but the trade off is cleanliness and the building's state. You get what you pay for, and I think I'd stay here again.

Very kind and welcoming front desk! The room was clean although a bit dated. Can’t beat it in that price range. Would return for a quick trip!

The hotel service was just in average. The desk staff seemed watch their cell-phones frequently instead of paying attention to the hotel lobby entrance and guests. HSKP staff didn’t speak English but tried their best to replenish our supplies needs when we asked for. The fitted bed sheet was not clean with black marks on it on arrival night. The guest room telephone wasn’t working. We had to go to the lobby to report it to the front desk, and showed the dirty sheet pictures to the desk. There wasn’t any apology from the desk staff, and he provided a set of new sheets to us. The hotel also charged service fee / resort fee per night, which was additional to our prepaid reservation. What was the service fee for ? For HSKP service or front desk service ? We had DND entire stay and we didn’t have interaction with the front desk for any special service as they paid attention to their mobile phones, not guests. The hotel location was a plus.

Overall is good for the deal that you’re getting. Was in a good location close to the main attractions of New Orleans approximately a 10 minute walk from Bourbon Street etc. However, every time I got to my room, I had to go to act down to the lobby to get my key card reset as it never worked. Gym was OK but not enough amenities and equipment breaking down. Overall room was pretty clean breakfast at the restaurant attached to the hotel was acceptable.
