Saint Philip Residence

Not good for a family. People smoking **** in the lobby. No mention of 3 stories of stairs to reach your room. Parking was the absolute worst. Definitely don’t stay in the French quarter if you can help it

The sofa was broken in the front so we kept sliding down onto the floor, one of the beds was wore out or broken and we kept rolling to the middle of the bed, there is no heat and it was freezing this weekend, the air cooler/dryer in a bedroom smelt like someone urinated in it when I turned it on. Other than that it was ok

This Airbnb has a prime location in the very close proximity to the French Market, Cafe du Monde, Jackson Square, the river boat tours and Bourbon. The location was the greatest attribute but there were some hiccups that could really make this place way better. We were a group of 4 on a girl's trip but had no closets, storage or drawers to organize our clothing or items. We were provided a few hangers and rack in each room which just was not sufficient, and it was a bit inconvenient to live out of a suitcase literally. The shower has no shelving or anywhere to place toiletries and would clog during and after a shower which was rather gross being that you were washing off the day on Bourbon but would have your feet soaking in it for several minutes. Overall, this was a great Airbnb, but it needs a few small adjustments to be more guest friendly rather than just location friendly only.

The whole experience. The property owner was VERY condescending and dismissive. I wasn’t aware there will be flights of stairs. I wasn’t aware this was an “AirBNB” as the owner stated, hinting at the name “Residence”. Really, Booking does not have this as an AirBNB and I can see why she’s not marketing on AIRBNB, this is horrible mess. Then I had to take another set of stairs to get to my room only to be met by two LARGE cockroaches. I skinned my arm on the cement wall as I was startled to see that. The owner brushed it off, laughing all while being very rude. She did state she would call pest control in the morning but I know she really could not have expected me to sleep in that room knowing there are bugs in there. Then she said in a pleasantly persnickety tone, “well, you can cancel, I don’t have any rooms”. Really, it’s 11p at night obviously in a bad neighborhood in the French Quarter, I’m alone and go where? She had no concern at all! She also mentioned that the place has been sprayed but I should never have seen ROACHES if this were true. I grew up FL, I know this! This building is old, the floor creeks, going down the stairs seemed like I would have fell. The apt smelled like old, wet wood. The volume on the TV fire stick did not work. It smelled like piss outside and lastly, at this point I did not feel safe as I was traveling alone. Oh AND, the wifi was not working as she said there was an outage, LIES! Booking told me she asked for picture of the roaches, REALLY. I have bags in my hand, startled by two large roaches, I’m to take pictures of moving cockroaches. It’s a shame too because it could potentially be a nice little quaint place. Also, do not be fooled by the pictures, there are a lot of filters it seems on the pictures. I seen the reviews of this place on booking and the ppl staying here give some good reviews, which is why I booked HOWEVER, they may like to live in mess but I do not. I seen the reviews in google, 90% are HORRIBLE. Read them.

It wasn't what the pictures showed but still super cute and clean. Enjoyed that it was easily walkable to all attractions. Will definitely recommend to others!

For days now there has been loud constant banging, it starts at 8.am and ends after 4pm. It goes on all day long. One of the workers had a code to our door and walked in. I asked to get a new door code and they ignored me. They are doing extensive construction above us, we have photos. They have done nothing to fix this problem we should have been informed about this construction before checking in. I have text messages from them about the constant banging all day and they did nothing half the time they ignored us. They also tried to say it was an emergency repair, as you can see from the photos this was an extensive remodeling project going on.. We even tried to get *********** to contact them about the noise and to date we haven't heard from either of them, They also had no security for the front door it was constantly open, not that it mattered since a random stranger already walked into our condo so the code is given to anyone. We were coming in one evening and got accosted by 2 men who were sitting in the foyer who we don't even think were staying there. We were afraid to leave our room or return in the evenings. I didn't speak to them when they cat called me and they called me a stuck up B**CH. So many things are broken, and it is dirty in there. The blow dryer and coffee maker are both broken. The outlets in the loft and the kitchen don't work. Also beware with the water or you will burn your skin off.

My kids and and I had an amazing visit!! This property is simple and efficient. Everything you could ever want to do in the Big EZ is right at your finger tips. This is a historic property and not fair to compare to a regular hotel. We stayed in room 8. Comfortably sleeps 4 adults. But could easily accommodate more people depending how comfortable they are with each other. I just got home and I am ready to go back. Would not change anything. Perfect place for the French Quater.
