The location is fantastic. The hotel is literally right inside the jiufen old street. The owners are very nice. The black dog is very obedient. Ok to store luggage inside the hotel after check out. Only thing is the bathrooms inside and outside the room stinks very bad, the room is dusty. But you can’t expect 5 star luxury hotel inside this old cute little village of jiufen so it’s understandable and tolerable. Sandwich, toast, instant milk tea & coffee, home made soy milk right at 8am. Has a pretty view of the mountain.

The owner was kind and I was able to stay there with peace of mind. It was a long weekend, but the location was great, so I was able to enjoy a different atmosphere by strolling around late at night or early in the morning when there were fewer crowds. I looked at the rainy view from the window of my room, saying, "It would be great if it was a sunny day." The stairs in the facility are narrow and steep, so going up and down with a suitcase can be a tense experience for women or seniors with little muscle strength. My reservation for the tea experience had passed the check-out time, but the owner was kind enough to let me leave my luggage there. Since it was raining, I was able to go there light, so I was very grateful.
