The hotel is in a very good location, next to the New York Central Station, close to the Rockefeller Building.
The hotel reception is almost a table in the elevator hall, which is really simple.
The room is pretty good, large and clean. The bathroom is very small.
The hotel does not have a breakfast room

Absolutely rubbish hotel, rubbish service staff, because we checked in late, they moved us from superior room to standard room, and lied to us that it was a standard room. Finally, after calling, the hotel staff told us that our room was a standard room without knowing it, and then changed it to say that we were staying in a superior room. The room pictures were different, and the superior room was on the 3rd floor with the laundry room??? Finally, it was up to us to stay or not, because the hotel was full. If it was full, they could just change the guest's booked room at will, and say it was the same, it was just tmb. Finally, I stayed in a different hotel for one night, checked out, and they said they would refund the money for the next few nights, but then they turned around and refused to admit it. Haha, in the end, Ctrip helped them. So if you want to experience the rogueness of American hotels, go to this one! The bathroom is rubbish! Absolutely bad review!!!

Horrible experience as people in room 1116 throwed a party, had loud music, laughing at 2am. Hotel management didn’t react to resolve situation. They have a tall guy with glasses at reception who said they are going to help, but absolutely nothing happened! And I have a flight in the morning. Cheap place in all senses. Never stop here!

Centrally located & quiet hotel, only minutes from Grand Central station, meaning it was very accessible and also easy to get around by train or subway as well as on foot. The room was a decent size, shower was good and powerful, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser were all included, as well as a nespresso coffee machine. The TV didn’t work and the room didn’t get cleaned once in our 4 day trip, we requested fresh towels though which were brought to the room, you always have to request more coffee capsules and milk. Water was available for free on our floor by the lifts. It was a self checkin and checkout service. All in all it was decent enough, nothing fancy but clean and comfortable room with a good location.

Cant reach anyone before you come , then after you come , they keep sending texts to your phone. The elevator is very slow and there seems to be too many people not enough elevators. You check yourself in , they just stand around. Whats the point of having front desk if they dont do anything.

The only thing that is good about this hotel is the location. The room needs a good make over the dark bits makes it look old fashioned Felt like a shoe box Found dirty bed sheets so these hadn’t been changed Very thin toilet paper The heating is so noisy We were on the 2nd floor, there are only 3 lifts so there is a long wait due to the amount of floors in the hotel The gym is tiny, nice to see a wash room with free laundry liquid I definitely would not stay here again as I found the hotel noisy with cars by the post office

Pros: Less than five minute walk to subway Central location Free water bottles and fountain to refill bottles Nice rooftop with tables and coffee Keurig in room Table and booth in room to eat Cons: We arrived at 3pm and the room wasn't ready for 1+ hour (they did give us late check out but we didn't need it) No room service offered No liquid soap- just soap bars No bathroom fan or window Sleep quality was quite poor- the door from our neighbors room was loud when they came and went

Great value for money and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We liked the location of the hotel, it is central and walking distance from many of the tourist attractions. We enjoyed the rooftop area, definitely worth your time to buy some snacks and drinks, and enjoy the city life from the roof of the hotel.

I liked the very central location of the hotel, just around the corner from Grand Central station. I would definitely recommend the area ... but not the Hotel Boutique Grand Central! The hotel clearly did not have enough cleaning staff. Our room was not cleaned despite us requesting a clean twice. We were offered a clean the next morning instead ... the day of our departure, which rendered said offer futile. Ours was not a unique case and in fact there were other guests whose rooms had not been cleaned for two consecutive days! Some of the staff were very nice and helpful, others not so much and seemed like the could not care a lot. Also, there was no safe in the room, which in my view is standard practice in city hotels nowadays. I complained about the issues during our stay on our return but so far (a month later), I have not heard back from the hotel manager despite two prompts. The hotel is not cheap, which is why their poor service was surprising to me. I would recommend the Grand Central area for sure - but go for a friendlier, more service-oriented alternative instead.

Good things about the hotel: location! Just across central station. Large rooms. Good price quality. Friendly and efficient reception. Good beds and pillows. Clean. Free coffee, water. Missing: no breakfast services. No safe in the room. No fridge either. Elevators make constant swooshing noise whichever room you are in it seems.

The location is outstanding, 3 minutes from Grand Central Station. Luggage was safely kept for us both before our check in, and after check out, very organized. Top floor terrace has city views, we were on a budget and purchased to go meals and ate them there while enjoying the views. A deli across the street has a good selection of beer and wine. The Grand Central Market has great food at good prices, both sit in and take out. Walking distance to many places we wanted to visit, St Patrick's Cathedral is only a few minutes away, from there we went to Central Park. Brooklyn Bridges not far, we did take metro, but close enough, it is walkable. Pricing is very reasonable for NYC

We stayed here over the New Year period for 4 nights on a couples city break. Immediately what stood out was the location and value of the hotel - both excellent. We decided we'd be out exploring for most of our time in NYC so did not need a grand lobby or huge hotel with restaurants etc. This place matched what we were looking for perfectly. Still modern and comfortable, the hotel met our every need. The rooms were spacious enough and we went for a basic one, the staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful offering lots of knowledge about the city. The absolute hidden gem is on the top floor, an observatory/lounge offering a nice atmosphere of peace out of the chaos of the city and great views outside, the Chrysler building in particular. It has a great coffee machine, and we saw plenty of guests enjoy the ambience with some drinks/food they had bought themselves (there's a small store right opposite). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for those with needs similar to ours. My only feedback is you have to ask for housekeeping services, it isn't standard. Once we knew this it was fine, although we did ask one day and it wasn't done. This was resolved the next day with an apology. Thanks for a great stay
