Friendly staff and great location

The location of the hotel is superior, the room is clean and hygienic, and the street is not too noisy. Although there are not many varieties of breakfast, it is enough to eat. The view on the top floor is good, you can have breakfast here!

However, the TV in the hotel room is too small, so you can't see it well unless you watch it right in front of you, but there are many foreign channels.

First time staying and I was hesitant early but turned out great. Location was excellent and service was even better.

This is a 2 star hotel at best. The rooms are old, the sheets and towels stained, and I could hear every single word/toilet flush from the room next door. Then when checking out I get told tell they’re taking a service fee out of the deposit. I had paid up front, and have never seen this before. The manager then called me up to the front desk, pulled up the website and loudly in front of everyone in the lobby said “it’s right there on the website, how is that not obvious!” After two sleepless nights, I don’t want any man yelling in my face.

First time staying here and I will definitely be back! As a Hilton Diamond member I usually stay at Hilton hotels but thought I'd try this one for it's great rates and proximity to Penn Station and the East Village where I was attending an event. This cute hotel has everything you need with 2 bottles of water in the room, great bathroom, great walking distance to everywhere and the staff was so incredible. Super friendly, available to help get taxi or anything else you need. It's not the quietest place but you shouldn't go to NYC and expect quietness. Room clean, great bed, I had a city view and loved it.

Staying at the Lex always feels like are coming home. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Location is excellent and the breakfast they offer is just great.

Friendly staff. I could hear my neighbor sneeze and clear his throat but hey, they offer complimentary earplugs. Location was great for us and our last minute stay.

This is the second time we've stayed at The Lex and we would definitely return. Amazing staff, great location, comfortable rooms.

Centrally located. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Wish they had a fridge & microwave in the room but considering the space, it may not be possible. Overall a great place to stay for a short trip

Had a lovely time at The Lex. Staff is super helpful and pleasant. Room is plain but spacious enough. Pillows were thin but they brought us two extras. Bed… cheap mattress? Not very comfortable. Not unpleasant though. Room seemed clean. Did a bedbug check and found zero evidence of any, which I think we should all appreciate. I’d stay again for sure. Location was good, few blocks from the subway, a block from a decent market. I wouldn’t recommend the deli next door - expensive and expired products including dairy, so be careful.
