Location is good but not much tailored services. Overall cleanliness is ok, but expect something more for hotels of this price range.

Best hotel I ever stayed in. Very clean and even provided me with bottled waters which I thought was amazing. Polite and had not one problem with the room

The location is particularly good and convenient for business travelers. The front desk can ask for free mineral water, which is very user-friendly.

Hotel staff are super nice. However the hotel is old and dated. The floor board in the bathroom was popping up and I stubbed my toe causing it to bleed, the shower fixture is broken and peeling, the tub is cracked, the toilet handle is broken and the toilet just keeps running which is very loud. Overall wouldn’t stay here again and I wouldn’t waste the money if I were you.

SoHo 54 was a great find! The price was affordable, the staff helpful, and our room was large and clean. I hesitated for a couple of steps as I approached the front door — it was a small indentation in the building wall and the street was a little dark. My concerns evaporated the moment I stepped inside and I’ll make this my go-to hotel for future trips to NYC.

Staff was friendly. The hotel needs a major upgrading, starting from paving and fixing the building entrance. The rims are more of a motel quality.

Room was booked as DeLuxe with Soho View, was explained that those are rooms from floor 2 to 16, was given a room with a view to a building wall, came back and ask for the room I booked and they said they didn’t have one, that they have a different rate room at floor 16 with the view but more expensive. I needed up paying the difference for a room at 16th floor and the view, something that I was under the impression I already paid for. They should honor the room category booked. They didn’t and make me pay more. Be aware.

It was in a Good location, but the $65 dollar resort” fee was ridiculous. This was not an option and if we were not planning on using the gym, water or coffee service this should not been something we had to pay for! The bed near the window was so cold even with the heat up to 80! Otherwise staff were nice and the room was clean.

The area is perfect for walkability. It is close to Canal/Tunnel so the traffic during rush hour makes it busy and noisy. Close to lots of restaurants and shops. Very easy to explore SOHO, Tribeca, West Village, Little Italy, Chinatown and surroundings by foot. Check in was easy and they let me do early check in. The room was a usual size for NYC. Bathroom was clean, room was clean but outdated. The lighting was not great and the heating was hit or miss. If i turned it off then the room was cold but if i turned it on even at 65 the room got too hot. There is free water, coffee, and tea. No bar, restaurant, or breakfast but plenty of places nearby. Gym was very bare bones but had all the basics. Overall, good for a 3 star hotel as the price was good for the location and the room size. You dont go to that area to stay in your room anyway!

There was no security in/out of hotel or the elevator. Did not require a room key to get in/out. Our bathroom door was broken and difficult to open and close.

This is hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. And no, this is not a rage review about a specific issue with my stay, this is an overall honest opinion about the worst hotel I have ever been, the room, the area, the filth, the staff, the bed, the sheets, the towels, the bathroom, everything is sub par on this price range. Avoid at all cost. There are much better options in nyc I could even date to say that any option is better. I hope at least one person reads this review and avoid booking it. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Solid stay. Rooms are clean and amenities are reasonable. If you’re looking for short stay in NYC for a reasonable cost, this is a good choice.

The room was a bit old and dated but it was comfortable. The rugs in my room were in bad shape but man at desk said they are repairing them one room at a time. Staff was super nice. They let me stay a bit longer due to illness which I thought was very nice. Location was great for Soho. It is a bit close to entrance to Holland Tunnel. Traffic was bad outside hotel during rush hours.

This place was a wonderful find. Everything was great! We went to a concert at The Blue Note jazz club so this was a perfect location. . Only a ten minute walk to The Blue Note. We were on the 18th floor which was quite a view I’d highly recommend SoHo 54!
