Ctrip is a rip-off. Different people have different prices. On the same day, I booked 800 yuan more than my colleague.

It's a compact small hotel. The room is OK and relatively clean. Generally, Chinese people travel a lot. The Empire State Building and Times Square are relatively close to each other. The location is good.

Everything was fine, except for audibility; at night the floor above was very noisy.

The best part was Liz, in the lobby. She was warm and very helpful EVERYTIME. The hotel was clean and very well located. One caveat was that on two occasions there was no hot water, having to bathe with very cold water as it was the end of October.

The Hotel was above our expectations. The location is excellent - we could walk everywhere. The staff were so accomodating- especially Liz at the front desk, and Daniel the manager. We loved that our room was spacious enough for 2 guests and our luggage.

We stayed at Life Hotel for a ladies weekend getaway and it was perfect! A great old building that is clean with comfortable beds and pillows. But the best part of Life Hotel was definitely the staff- from check-in through check-out, we were always greeted with a smile and a kind word. Francisco was cleaning downstairs while we were checking in and told us a little about the building. His friendliness set the tone for our entire stay. Aziz- how can we possibly say enough about Aziz? I’m embarrassed to admit that he came to our room a few times during our visit- a forgotten toothbrush, to set up a cot, then facecloths the next night because we were napping when housekeeping came through. Every single time we saw him, his smile was genuine and he laughed with us. Life Hotel NY should be applauded for putting together such a wonderful team. I have truly never seen this in any other hotel I’ve stayed in. Thank you all for a wonderful weekend!

The room was clean and beautiful, loves the crispy white walls and the brass beds. The staff was amazingly accommodating, especially Aziz who went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. And he had such a great sense of humor!

This hotel has a comfortable bed, clean room, place to work with WiFi, and a refrigerator. Also, it’s a short walk to Amtrak Penn station—close enough to the action, but far from the craziness. The front desk is tucked away in a lobby cafe, but the manager saw me looking around and guided me to his direction. He was friendly and humorous, and offered to help guide me for food etc. during my stay. Highly recommend.

We had one of the best stays in NYC. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The room was very spacious, bathroom was gorgeous, hot shower. We even had a balcony to lounge around! The room came with other things like a mini fridge, smart tv, closet, adjustable lighting. The room and the service was 10/10. We would definitely come back.

Amazing location, great room, and wonderful service! First time staying here and I would definitely come back. The building is old (love this) and they kept the integrity of the original design and made modern improvements. Super cool spiral staircase in the middle, rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable! AC works great, bathrooms have good lighting, rain shower head only.

Nice and chic hotel with great value for money. The location is great for you to explore Manhattan and a lot of things to do. Rooms are rather small but very clean and the cleanliness everywhere is very well maintained. Ask for rooms facing the road. They are the very airy. The staff are super friendly and are very helpful .
