The hotel did not provide hot and cold water. You need to have amazon account to watch TV program which we don't. They should have set up the system so that visitor can just switch ON the TV and watch. There is no toilet at the recieption. Just in case you check out early, and good to have when you back to pick up your luggage.

The location is okay and convenient to take a car. The room is not big, a bit old, and the soundproofing is not very good, but it is okay for a few days. There are supermarkets nearby, which is convenient overall. The price is pretty good.

The hotel didn’t provide even short expectations. Based on the central Madisson Av street, you hardly can find it at a glance, since there is a bright pink board and a sticker on a window with the Physic consultation for 10 dollars. There is no lobby, just reception at a bad condition, 2 chairs and 2 elevators, one of them is always out of service. It was not announced on site, they charge 5 dollars for 1 piece of baggage storage. I had to change 4 rooms during 5 days, since the basic facilities were out of order, especially connected to bathroom and air conditioning. They all far from advertised standard, with outdated furnishings and cleanliness issues that made us a question the overall maintenance. At 503 the shower tray is clogged and doesn’t flush, so you can’t take a shower, since the water quickly overflows. At 603 the sink was clogged with debris and the dirt floated from the pipe and the water did not flush. At 905 the air conditioning was not working, it was cold, the plug didn’t come into the socket, they were of different types, also the wires were pulled out of the TV, the set-top box did not work. The problem is that these all problems they do not fix, just move the guests to new rooms that have almost the same problems. The rooms are small, old, nothing is done ti renovate them, the windows are black from dirty. Guys at reception change several days a day, the only one was permanent in the morning - Lily. She feels really sorry about the discomfort the guests have during their stay. The other staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful and even rude, especially Wilson. Upon arrival our check in process was disorganised and time - consuming. His unprofessional talk and behaviour and lack of training. He refused to accept hotel deposit 150 USD in cash and said or we pay with credit card or can move to a different hotel even we have 100% prepaid the stay. The problem that Russian cards go not work in foreign countries and we can pay only in cash, he didn’t accept and told the he doesn’t want to be rude but we should pay only with card or no other alternatives. I have asked my friend who lives in USA, to provide the details of his credit card to pay deposit. Since that was not my personal card, Wilson has frozen 75 US dollars instead of 150. The next step that was very nervous for me is that Wilson told he can’t see my payment. So he cannot settle us in the room. I showed him the evidence, my booking with amount debited and the card authorisation but he told he cannot see it in the local system, advised me to connect with my local travel agency. After 10 hours flight, early in the morning I had to contact with my agency to confirm! Thanks God, the agency has confirmed the card was debited and the hotel was fully paid, but in the site the hotel email was provided wrongly. Wilson gave us a new email, which turned out to be incorrect again , so he could not receive confirmation. I learned this only the next day from a different manager

Run! This place is not a boutique hotel at all! I regret not reading the reviews first. If I could give it a zero, I definitely would. My room was at the end of the hall, with windows facing a wall, so there was no sunlight—it was dark all the time, even on sunny days. The worst part was the mold. The whole room smelled moldy and awful. The manager explained it was due to a leak from another room. I couldn't believe they still host people despite the mold, which can harm your health! As soon as I got into the room, I asked to change it, but the manager said there were no other rooms available, which was a lie. I had a tight schedule and couldn't spend more time dealing with it. I thought it was just one night (I paid $230 a night), but the nightmare continued. I couldn’t fall asleep when I got back late, and I coughed badly at midnight, forcing me to leave at 3 AM. You know what? Even after I left, my nose was still full of the moldy smell. This was my worst hotel experience, and it reminded me to check reviews before booking hotels. The management is terrible. I had already booked and paid online, but they still needed me to forward the confirmation email when I checked in, which took forever. And they had no AC at the counter. By the way, the TV didn’t work, and there were bugs in the bathroom.

Our room was given away, while we were out.... My husband and I had booked a room at the 27th Hotel for Saturday, December 16, 2023. We arrived early checked in with reception and left our luggage. Later that evening we returned and went to the reception to finish the check-in process. We were offered a choice of rooms, initially but then it became apparent that something was wrong. The receptionist told us that there were no rooms available. We were flabbergasted since we had booked and paid for the room weeks ago and we had been there earlier that day and Wilson at reception had pulled up our booking and confirmed it. When we returned that night the new receptionist told us that our room was given away to another guest. Upon learning the situation, the manager, Wilson, was also upset that our room had been given away and he told the receptionist that our room needed to be given back to us. The receptionist and another worker were not able to secure our room for us, but they allowed us to stay in another room that had not been cleaned and it was not "guest ready" but we took it because we had no place else to stay. We were told that we should receive a full refund given that the services we paid for in advance were not rendered. The room was not cleaned (and it was apparent) and it did not have bedding, but some sheets were brought up that we put on the bed ourselves. While we were relieved that at least some solution was found given the situation, it was not a real hotel room or what we paid for. No refund has been provided to this date 6/18/24

Finding "affordable" Hotel in mid-Manhattan is as difficult as you might expect for a major city centre. On that basis the cost of LuxUrban 27 was fine No trouble finding it (don't believe those who claim to not be able to find the front door. They can't have been trying) Very friendly welcome, and help to store baggage - we were early after red-eye from Seattle. We paid the extra to return and check in early - midday - so that we could recuperate Room small but we've had smaller. 10th floor but still sounds came through the a/c unit, which itself was too loud to use overnight. Microwave and fridge but no coffee machine. We've long ago learnt to heat for drink coffee/tea water by m'wave. Room was serviced every day Bedding Okish, but a bit slippery and all over the place overnight Took an absolute age - 10? 15? minutes - for hot water to come through to tap or shower, but it always did eventually and was hot when it did arrive. Toiletries of the limited tube variety but refreshed each day No chance of black-out at window or door. Very handily placed in Central Manhattan. Easy to get from/to JFK - AirTrain to Jamaica / J line Jamaica to Canal Street / red line (6) uptown to 28th Street - Hotel across from opposite corner of block. Would use again

I have been trying to cancel my upcoming reservation for over a week now. I have called the hotel 10 times and only get voicemail. I have left multiple voicemails and no replies. I even called the corporate Luxurban office and they advised me they would have someone contact me. Still waiting to hear back. Do bot book this hotel.

I booked via booking with free cancellation. They took the money from my credit card few days after I confirmed the booking. Unfortunately, my trip was cancelled. So I had to cancel the hotel (I still had 1 month left for the free cancellation). I don't know when I'll receive the refund, or if I'll receive it at all. It's impossible to get in contact with them (I've sent emails and I tried to call them but you get an automatic voicemail message).

Fellow Travelers I wanted to share my recent and ongoing experience with booking and canceling a booking at this hotel. I booked a stay for November 2024 through a reliable hotel booking website. Note the Hotel takes the FULL booking amount at the time of booking while offering free cancellation policy up to a few days before the start of your booking. Sadly, I had to cancel my reservation on April 9, 2024. Unfortunately, I have since encountered significant challenges with obtaining a refund from the hotel and am still waiting. Despite many attempts to reach out via email, I received no response or acknowledgment from the hotel team. When I contacted the booking company, I was informed that the hotel indicated a 15-working-day processing time for refunds. However, it has now been 25 working days, and I have yet to receive any communication or refund confirmation. Mr Gary Romanello, Owner at Hotel 27 By Luxurban please review your customer service! Given my experience, I would advise others to proceed with caution when booking this hotel. It appears that communication and refund processes may be unreliable, as noted by other travelers. have been trying to cancel my reservation for three days with dead end email addresses, phones that aren't answered, and voicemails that aren't returned. the first email i sent was directly to the listed address in the cancellation instructions. it came back with a delivery error because my email address had been BLOCKED by the recipient!!!!

They don't provide a working phone number as it is disconnected most of the time, so contacting the reception is impossible. I booked through a third party, free cancellation but you pay in advance. No refund, they say they will process a refund but they never do. After a long process of trying to get a refund I get a reply from the third party stating: That the hotel refuses to handle refunds and customer has to accept the loss of their pre payed amount that has been charged. They can write a standard comment that is apologetic and sincere, but it won't get you a refund until proven wrong.

It is easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The room was tiny, the furniture broken, the fridge tilted and I could go on and on. It was the name Wyndham which fooled us. I thought it would at least meet minimum standards. The location was very good.
