Comfort Inn JFK Airport

The location is convenient for the airport, but there are no shops nearby and there's a garbage truck parking lot. The shuttle service is very reliable. It's suitable for a layover when you need to catch a flight.

Newly renovated, quite chic, small but perfectly formed. The Indian lady at the front desk provided excellent service. I chose this hotel because it's close to JFK and offers a free shuttle. When I checked in, the front desk lady reminded us to book the shuttle for the next morning. It departed on time the next day, and everything went smoothly. However, the surroundings of the hotel were a bit run-down, which wasn't a great feeling. After returning to Shanghai, I found the hotel had overcharged me by $50. Even with Ctrip's intervention, it was no use. In the end, I'm grateful to Ctrip for covering the cost (Ctrip refunded the money to us themselves). Thanks, Ctrip!

The room was decent, but the major downside was how incredibly noisy it was outside. It's probably because it's so close to the airport. If you're a light sleeper, you won't be able to get any rest.

Considering my late arrival, I booked a hotel near the airport. It felt like they gave me the worst room in the hotel, probably because I booked through a platform. The hallway outside my door was cluttered with various supplies, which made for a bad experience.
