Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park Reviews

I repaid for a single king bedroom for my husband and I and received a room wirh 2 separated double beds and the hotel excused that they could not change it, even while checking in others. The place is grossly overrated for the almost $400 nightly with tiny standard rooms that are sooo small that you can hardly change your mind. The marriot brand that is attached to this hotel is misleading. My stay was a grand disappointment. Do not book here!!!! I WILL NOT RETURN HERE. IT IS NOT VALUE FOR MONEY...

Happy overally with the stay, but I would recomend using a card for the deposit that you can lock. At 1:00 am, THREE WEEKS after my stay, the hotel attempted to charge $50 on my credit card that I used for the room security. There was nothing that should have been charged, and the hotel advised that "it was just our system" - no explanation why the "system" was attempting to charge my card, and there were no incidental charges to the room. I'm glad the fraud guard on my credit card declined the transaction, since I may have missed the charge if I were not alerted to the possible fraud.

Wheelchair accessible room and roll in shower were perfect! Free breakfast was wonderful too.

The breakfast was excellent. This is the best value hotel near Central Park.

The location is close to the manhattan terminal. Staff are friendly. The room is a bit small. But it’s clean.

We wanted a hotel for a night close to the cruise terminal. The hotel was perfect for that and within a walking distance from the cruise terminal. Elevators are SLOW and it takes forever to catch one - Some people preferred to walk down than to try and wait.

This was a perfect hotel for our needs! We enjoyed being on the first floor. Quiet, kind staff, and the out door seating was nice!!

Front desk help was great. Garage we were told to park in was closed🙁 Elevator not working. Long wait for other working elevator🙁 Carpets in hallway stained and dirty🙁

The price/performance ratio is very good. It is 2.5 kilometers away from the exhibition. I will stay here again next time! Johnny at the front desk was very nice! Breakfast is also OK, American breakfast

When I went back at night, I found ants all over the floor of the guest room. It was disgusting. After I complained, they sprayed ant killer for me, but they didn't apologize or make any compensation. I was too lazy to say more to them. It was too bad. The guest room was also very noisy, the sound insulation was very poor, and the elevator was full, which was frustrating. I will never stay in this hotel again.

The worst hotel I've stayed in the US. The price is higher than Westin. The fee paid in advance is non-refundable. The price-performance ratio is really bad. There is a male service at the front desk with a bad attitude. The air conditioner in the room sounds like a tractor at night. It's cold when it's turned off. I asked for a quilt, but was refused and said there was none. The next day, someone else asked and there was one. The room is small and can't fit two suitcases. There is no carpet.
