The location of the hotel is in China town where Chinese restaurants, stores and grocery stores around it. Most of the customers were Chinese. It is close to the subway station, takes about 7 minutes to get there, but takes at least 30 minutes to get to Manhattan by train. We spent a lot of time on commute.
If you want to visit Manhattan, I recommend staying in Manhattan.
The highlight of the staying was breakfast which was perfect. However, I can’t believe that the hotel does not provide water, and we had to pay for water.

On the first day of check-in, the music in the lobby on the first floor was so loud that the floor was shaking. I couldn't sleep at all. It lasted until 23:30. Luggage storage is $5 per piece

We always stay at Marriott, although I rarely use my Bonvoy membership. I always book our hotel through trip.com. The fridge had a bottle of Coke that had been drank by the previous guest. The hair dryer bag is dusty.
Everything else looks good. They provide free water during check-in and a raincoat in case of rain.
The breakfast seems decent for the price.

The Langham is a lovely hotel in a convenient midtown location. Almost 5 stars, but room service and breakfast at restaurant fall very short so taking off 1 star. Pros: - very large rooms and huge closets for NYC - impeccably clean room and outstanding housekeeping - service in Langham Club exceptional - friendly and helpful doormen - good value Negatives: - check in “upgraded” our room through Amex FHR; however neglected to tell us that our “upgraded” room (though larger) was now on a low floor without a view, and it was extremely noisy (even for NYC)- when earplugs are provided on the nightstands you know it’s a problem. Need better sound proofing on windows. Also our “upgraded” room did not have a bathroom door! This is a very poor design flaw and was a real negative to our stay. - room service was very poor. Our order was missing a breakfast entree after waiting 50 minutes and a replacement was not brought before we had to leave. Coffee was cold and tasted as if it had been made hours before. Canned whip cream was brought and offered to be sprayed on our waffles- just no. - breakfast at Ai Fiore was a disaster. Extremely rude and dismissive service. Slow. Very limited selection and poor food quality. Don’t eat there.

We were so pleased to stay at the Best Western even without any reservation. The hotel was clean, comfortable and everyone was kind and professional. The breakfast was delicious and I recommend it. We encountered a very pleasant employee by the name of Angelique. She literally made us feel at home and that’s what every visitor appreciates. The price was affordable especially in this time which is hard to find. So we give this hotel 5 stars which we rarely do.

We were at this hotel for one night. There was a power failure which affected the hotel, and of course, this was not the hotel's fault, although it did result in inconvenience and discomfort to our stay. In addition, some guests were having a noisy party just outside the front entrance which was loud enough to keep me awake in the middle of the night -- our room was a few floors up overlooking the party. I felt that we deserved either compensation or credit for a future stay at a Hilton property, so I went to speak to the manager in the morning. However, there was a long line of people waiting to complain to the manager, and we had to leave, so I didn't get to speak with him. I subsequently emailed the manager 3 times to ask for compensation and he never replied. I called 5 times and the manager was supposedly never there. Finally, I spoke to the assistant manager. He listened attentively assured me that someone would get back to me. That was two weeks ago. I am very disappointed in this poor customer service and unprofessional behavior of their managerial staff.

Double Hilton Hotel in Downtown NY was in an excellent location in terms of transport. For example, taking the South Ferry Line 1 is one of the best kept secrets as it can get you to all the key destinations like Central Park, Time Square etc… For sure, it will be my hotel for next time

The location is good, 3 minutes away from the subway station. The hotel includes breakfast, which is pretty good. The room is not big but the hygiene is OK. Coffee is available 24 hours a day on the first floor. The room is not large and the sound insulation is average. KKitrynThis hotel is immaculate and absolutely everybody is above and beyond pleasant. Though not directly affiliated with the hotel, Inexpensive, super clean and very easily accessible parking is a two minute walk away at 25 Kent St. We paid $64 for 2 1/2 days of parking. The room was incredible. Exposed brick walls with super high ceilings, the bathroom had a huge tub and a wonderful shower. Pro tip: if traveling with someone that you do not want to see you naked, understand that it is not a one-way mirror over the bar and you absolutely CAN see into the shower While someone is showering. Luckily I was with my daughter, so this was not a real issue. The restaurant within the hotel and the Ramen place directly next-door are both wonderful. I did not make it to the rooftop bar this time but since I absolutely will stay at this hotel every time I come to visit I will check it out next time! The room was extremely quiet, temperature was easy to control. Now, a little too much honesty, I am an extremely “sensitive” person, and resting and hearing so much from the second I stepped into this hotel. I was never scared, as I definitely don’t typically get scared, but I had numerous very genuine and very obvious things happen while I say that this hotel, such as seeing things walk across the hall in both my room and the hallway, in the main lobby bathroom someone walked into the bathroom and into the stall next to me, but never left, and when I looked, there was no one there,and I was in the shower. I could hear several men talking to each other as if they were right next to me. I was definitely not hearing people from another room. I also heard the door to the stair well open, which is right next to our room and I was right next to the door so when I looked, there was nobody there and I pulled it shut again. Just out of curiosity, as to what was there prior to the hotel, on the way home my daughter looked up the history to the hotel. Let’s just say it was very enlightening as to why i was experiencing so much activity in this hotel, especially on the third floor next to what I will assume would have been a fire escape at some point. It also may explain why the first thing that went through my mind when I opened the front door of the hotel and turned to my daughter and said “I’m surprised the hotel gets away with door opening inward. It goes against fire code. Anyway, You can look up the history yourself and understand all that I have said. :-)  either way, a spectacular hotel at a decent price and a very safe and beautiful part of the city. I will definitely stay here again!

The proximity of the canteen and cafeteria next to the reception area added to the convenience. The cafeteria offered a delightful selection of freshly baked goods and various beverages, making it a pleasant spot to unwind.
While I explored nearby Bodegas for budget-friendly groceries, the hostel's public kitchen became my go-to for preparing breakfast and dinner. Although the communal kitchen occasionally suffered from post-use neglect, the dedicated hostel staff ensured it remained clean and well-equipped.
The cleanliness of the shared facilities extended to the toilets, which were consistently well-maintained and stocked with amenities. This attention to hygiene contributed significantly to a positive overall experience.
Despite booking a bed in a 12-bed room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and the daily cleaning routine carried out by the diligent hostel staff.
Adding to the positive experience, the Hi New York hostel's location proved to be exceptionally convenient for exploring major destinations. The hostel's close proximity to a subway station, just a 2-minute walk away, made traveling around the city a breeze. This accessibility enhanced the overall convenience of my stay, allowing me to easily reach and explore various attractions without any hassle. The strategic location near the subway station was undoubtedly a valuable asset for anyone looking to make the most of their time in the city.

MMaikehuThe location of the hotel is invincible. You can walk to Central Park, Times Square, and countless famous attractions in Manhattan. Next to the subway station, the transportation is very convenient.
The hotel service is also very good. Hair dryer and coffee machine were sent to the front desk by phone. The room was clean and tidy.
It is basically full, causing the elevators to be very tight and need to wait. Some rooms in the hotel are a bit old-fashioned, and the details such as the corners may not be very beautiful. Let's see if someone pays attention.

GGuest UserMy check list for a hotel: Good mattress, good pillows. Check. Clean room with adequate space. Check. Small table, a desk space, a good-sized bed. Quiet. Definitely check and that shouldn't be taken for granted in NYC. Decent gym. Check. And no crazy glitches. Yep, plenty of elevators, good water pressure, the HVAC worked fine etc. etc. I thought the staff was friendly and proactive -- I requested coffee capsules -- they arrived quickly, a lot of them, and some water bottles just in case I was thirsty. I wish they would just put coffee machines in rooms instead of having to ask for one, but it's not very hard to ask. Bonus points: I showed up at noon expecting to have to check bags but a room was available so that made things nicer. Some others seem to be complaining about lack of room service but that was working when I was there.

TTravelTheSkyCheck in was seamless and kind. Throughout the hotel staff was very kind and always helpful. We stayed there while seeing two Broadway shows and it is a great location for this and access to the park. Did not have any food but noticed the store/cafe on the first floor had incredible waits and very slow staff on a Friday morning. Waited a while for a cup of coffee but eventually gave up. As a former f&b person it was disappointing to see the pace and approach of the kitchen/counter staff.

GGuest UserThe location near Bryant Park is ideal. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. I asked for a room that had not recently had a pet stay, because of my allergies, and they actually took the time to check on that. Our ac was not working initially, but when I called, they fixed it quickly. The room was gigantic and smelled fresh but as others have said, the furniture is old. I didn’t mind as the decor was nice, and it was clean, but the couch was disgusting and I avoided sitting on it. The kitchen and bathroom were in good condition. We took the advice to avoid peak elevator times and didn’t have a problem, but that meant we had to get up earlier than we would have liked. We asked for a late checkout and got it; no problem. Overall, I thought the pluses outweighed the minuses.

GGuest UserThe West Side YMCA is definitely a no frills place to stay, but the location is excellent. You're right next to Central Park and Columbus Circle. Times Square is an easy walk south. We stayed in 2 different rooms. The first had a bunk bed and was quite small, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. It also had a small TV and fridge. We had a semi-private bathroom, which was down the hall. This meant we had to scan our key on one of the bathroom doors to get in, but once inside we had privacy while we got cleaned up. The bathrooms were kept clean and tidy. We were able to upgrade the second half of our stay to a room with a larger bed and an in room bathroom. Again, this hotel is no frills. It can be rough around the edges, but it's clean and comfortable at the end of a long day of sightseeing. We did not have time to take advantage of the gym, the pool, the sauna, and stuff like that, but they looked nice. I'd recommend the West Side YMCA. If you're visiting NYC, you should be out doing stuff, not sitting around the room. It was everything we needed it to be.

JJessicaVery happy with my experience here. The bedsheet and beddings are quite comfortable. The room is small which is NY standard, but my stay here has been very homie and comfy. The shower is hot and abundant. Location is prime, walking distances to time square and central park, and with a railway station around the corner of the hotel.

AAshley NicoleThe hotel is in an excellent location. It’s very easy to get around by walking or hopping on the metro. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful, but the hotel itself is in need of renovations (as other reviews have stated). If the hotel were to make those renovations I would stay again.

GGuest UserOnly one elevator. Rooms were small. Hallways and elevator was small also. Could not get down certain areas with wheel chair. 5 people in elevator was a tight fit. Breakfast was mediocre. Some items good some needed improvement. Overall would not recommend unless your a bit desperate.
