We stayed on Halloween and food and staff lovely. Especially Jasmin and Charlotte. The staff you need. They made the night extra special. We were going to go back but the pub has been sold and staff not the same and speaking to others not like it was. Such a pity we thought they had a winning combination in the pub with the food the staff all excellent

We recently stayed at the Pheasant and had a fantastic experience as ever. The staff are wonderful and the food is amazing. We love this place, it has a great atmosphere and everything you could want. Highly recommend a visit here and will be going back again and again.

Lets set the expectations small room, that you can't swing a cat around about a quaint pub but a lovely ensuite and comfy bed means it gets a great review from me. I usually tay in 5 star rooms but this was fine and convenient for Highclere. The staff were so personal it was great. Only down side for me is because it's down south they have never heard of mushy peas with their fish and chips. Minted peas are just not the same.

Fantastic experience for father in law’s birthday celebrations. A small group of us put in the private room which was great for us. Roaring fire, great food (all good but especially fish of the day, fish and chips, and the puddings were excellent!) ale selection could be a bit better but razor back and Ramsdale gold are always good choices. Some good cocktails and wine on offer. Thoroughly enjoyed all round and highly recommended.

We arrived after a visit to Highclere. Great welcome from the staff and shown to a cosy comfortable room. Tea and coffee provided in the room with fresh milk in the fridge on the landing. Lovely menu with lots of choice. The bar/restaurant area had a great atmosphere and was busy without being crowded. The staff are brilliant, very helpful and welcoming. A very well run business and a great place to visit.

Stayed at this wonderful place for my Mum’s 70th from the 2nd to the 4th od December. We where made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door. Absolutely loved the decor and all the quirky seating areas. We stayed in the Oak room which again is beautifully decorated with a lovely ensuite. Nespresso machine and real milk was a real bonus like a home from home. Great breakfast and great service from the lady that looked after us both mornings. We also dined at the restaurant for both evenings, the food was superb as was the service. Overall I would highly recommend both rooms and restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
