Great location, easy remote operated check in service.
Communal area presented well. The lift worked to go upwards from ground to level one, but it wasn’t functioning when we left (downwards function from level one to ground).
Room 1 - upon entering had a horrible dirty shoe smell. It has a major shower drainage problem where the fall of the shower floor runs into the room, possibly over time water on the carpet is causing the constant smell.
The hand basin drain was also blocked.
The renovation was modern, however the wear and tear is now evident. Could do with a bond clean and some maintenance. The ratings could improve easily if maintenance and cleanliness were addressed because the service and location are great.

Maintenance needed. No bowls, 1 teaspoon, 1 dinner plate, no dishcloth. Shower hose leaking, toilet seat broken, no coat hangers. Dirty wall. Otherwise ok.

A great stay and many positives, but a small thing was the remote control for the TV had no batteries and took much to work out to operate the TV.
Will stay here again, but will batteries.

The lack of a reception is a major drawback. This was communicated to us but when we couldn't open our door it proved a real issue. After consulting the front entry information we found the missing link to the supplied sms instructions. Our next step was to phone the supplied number.
There was no tv remote and no tv controls. Unfortunately a search for it revealed the dirtiness of the room with ping balls(?) under the bed buried in copious amounts of dust. As only staying 1 night no point io complaining.

Avoid at all costs
Did not receive entry code, waited 2 hours in community reception trying all contact numbers before gaining access to room which smelled of chemicals and had many dead flies and insects plus living beetles and cockroaches, insufficient cutlery and crockery(only 1 knife and 1 plate) room was next to communal laundry and was noisy at night time

Great location but need a plan for the carparking
We enjoyed our stay, Well located and conveienent for a short stay. Parking was bit confusing but doable, better to just arrive by train not car we think, Or do your research in advance. Perhaps more information on car parking could be supplied as you do need a car for day trips to the Hunter wine region, But the accommodation was fantastic and we would stay again, Gret value for money along with ideal location. Near cafes, restuarants, bars and harbourside walks to the beaches.

The only good was the convenient location. The room was terrible, black mould in multiple places throughout the bathroom, room smelt terrible likely due to the mould and my friend had difficulty breathing, heater wouldn't work so was freezing in the room after having the window open to try and air it out. Bed was hard and uncomfortable also. Have tried to contact the property to address the issues with this place twice with no responses. Not worth the risk to your health staying here
