Porth Veor Manor, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

It’s outstanding and flawless for the price paid. I think it’s open all year round. If you are interested in working in hospitality you don’t need to go on a training course, just book into here for a few nights and watch what they do how they do. It’s clear hospitality comes naturally to them. The welcome is genuinely warm and it’s a first impression that lasts. We stayed three nights and could have stayed three weeks. We had booked a standard room and they reached out to offer an upgrade to a sea view so we took the deal. Our room was lovely. The view was more sandy beach than sea but still delightful. We had tea/coffee - making facilities including biscuits and a dolce gusto coffee machine. The bath towels were just luxurious. Breakfast was really good, delicious porridge followed by kippers. On our last day I opted for a plain omelette with some of the Benedict sauce with their Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. We got a Chinese carry out one night and they laid a table for us in the dining room, provided water, plates and cutlery and did the washing up! Now that’s hospitality for ya. We got a few drinks from their mini bar. It was real relaxing to have a few drinks and great craic with the bar staff after a long day touring. The chef made cake which we bought at the bar for a treat. Hope to return some day - the only two downsides were no lift and one beyond the control of our hosts - as the weather was not kind.

We booked a last minute break in Cornwall and given recent experience had low expectations but we could not have been more surprised in a good way. Fantastic location brilliant friendly and professional local staff and we will return.

Good position, walking distance to Newquay and Watergate Bay. Lovely room, comfortable bed and great view. Staff were great and friendly

We live near St Ives but decided on a trip to Newquay to have a cream tea here. It was gorgeous! 2 lovely scones each, a generous dollop of clotted cream , jam and fresh strawberries. Couldn't fault it. And Mark, who was on reception and brought our cream tea to us was friendly, attentive and very professional. A real asset to the hotel.

Excellent in every way I know that there is no evening meal. But there is plenty of food places near by. The staff are all amazing and can’t do enough for you. Can’t wait to stay here again the view are gorgeous and with a cut through to the beach what is not to like

This was a nice hotel with a superb breakfast. Room was clean and the shower was great. Bed was comfortable.

We had a great 4 night break here. Lovely comfortable room with sea view and balcony. Breakfast was delicious with everything you could want and specials too. Staff were so helpful and always bright and cheerful. Even persuaded us to have a swim. Towels provided. Nice Heated pool. We just needed a bit more sunshine. We will definitely return.

What can I say all the staff went over and above to make you feel welcome. Dave and Greg behind the bar were brilliant Dave even played us a song on his guitar which was amazing. Highly recommend and definitely have the breakfast it’s yummy

Just had 2 lovely nights in this great hotel. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. We were lucky to be able to have a room with a view of Porth beach which was literally 5 minutes walk away. The breakfast was delicious lots of choice and fresh produce cooked to order. Staff very polite and friendly especially Mark who worked serving breakfast and behind reception. Would recommend this hotel and will definitely return.
